From what we’ve seen he should be close to scaling with mpm prime at least based on the OS Rampage comparisons.

there have actually been a couple shots of bot mode released already on the OS SS Devastator thread. Paint looks great as usual and he now has articulated fingers.

 

I would really appreciate a SS Evasion Prime, and Knight Prime to throw in here!!

 

I thought Evasion Prime was coming next year as he has been heavily rumoured this year, guess we'll have to wait until 2023.

 

He hasn't been confirmed, from what I understand.

I was hoping to get a second Devastator made entirely of repaints, but I guess I'll settle on the box set since Pulse's 15% Off Black Friday coupon worked despite me not being a Premium Member.

Changed Ratchet's 2007 toy head with the Human Alliance Sideswipe head (I repainted it) to be more G1! What do you think?

I used a ball joint piece from the old RotF deluxe satellite Soundwave to mod the neck.

 

I mean I got the devil saviour set and I still have my SS set with the dna kit. Guess we’re both crazy hehe

 

So from the new images of the the new box design, here's what I've gathered:

-There is still a plastic window
-There will be 2 backdrops. One that holds the figure into place (we can see in the image), and another one behind which hasn't changed.

Really though, Movie Devastator's one of my fave TFs, but with how intricate and frail the whole combination scheme feels, I wanted to have a backup copy. Have one permanently in Devy mode, the other kept separate 'cause the individual bots are great too. I was expecting them to follow up Rampage with Payload and Demolishor and the like, but Studio Series just doesn't do repaints for some reason.

 

I am of the belief that Bayverse Sideswipe's head looks good on most bodies.

 

I never contemplated it to that degree!



I'm really digging this figure as the best deluxe class Ratchet. I finally finished the alt mode paints...

Transformation isn't complicated, the sculpt is really nice and the robot scale goes well with the other studio series figures. Hummer mode is too small though.

 

Ya know, I actually really am starting to like this Bee a lot tbh. I think I'll have to put this on the list and hopefully when I get the chance I'll be able to find Cliffjumper at a good price again too.

Gotta say this box art is pretty neat. I don't think that less plastic is a bad thing tbh.

Oh wow that Bayverse green color scheme is very nice. I really hope they make that as a repaint one day. I really do. Ratchets bodytype would make a very good army builder if you gave it a trooper type head.

Oh damn, I underestimated you.... awesome collection! Any plans to get Devil Saviour or is it too much? I'd recommend sweeping at least, and their upcoming scrapper looks really nice too.
