My top 5 official Transformers of the year are,

1.SS '86 Hot Rod ( I'll transform it one day, only reason I haven't so far is because he can do the pose where he's firing up at the Decepticons emerging from the shuttle so well. )
    2.Earthrise Cyclonus
    3.SS '86 Scourge
    4.Titan Class Scorponok
    5.Siege Jetfire

After that it gets sketchy because I can't remember when I got everything else.

I'm holding off on making a definitive 3rd party list until I've got Transform Element Scorponok and the Magic Square Constructicons in hand.

    @Xaran Alamas,
If I remember rightly as it's been a while since I saw it Shur Sean's character is a former SAS operative who is brought in to help Nicolas Cage's character retake Alcatraz island from the ex US military turned terrorists who're holding San Francisco to ransom via some stolen chemical weapons.

He spent time in Alcatraz when it was still a prison and is brought back for one last job because he knows the island.

As @CZ Hazard said, the similarities with Bond are there but the first ten minutes of the video I saw that tried to prove the theory consisted of so much straw clutching I couldn't be arsed with the rest of it. I was amazed the guy spent so much time constructing such bullshit just for a few clicks.

The Rock is a good action film and easily the best thing Bay has ever done. But that's it for me.

I haven't watched a Bond movie since Brosnan so it's not as if I really care one way or the other, I imagine the algorithm had seen I'd put The Rock into the search engine at some point and confused it with the wrestler otherwise I'd never have known about the theory.

Sounds like you might want to give it a rewatch some time.

John Mason is in prison having been caught spying in the US since the 60s, and disavowed by the UK government as is policy with MI5 and M16 spies. He has escaped every prison they've put him in including Alcatraz. He's been in prison in isolation for about 10 years and has a hilarious antagonistic relationship with the fantastic John Spencer from West Wing, who plays it full heel.

Some terrorists have chemical weapons and hostages on Alcatraz (oversimplification - this is a decent plot in itself), John Mason shows a Seal team and a scientist (Stanley Goodspeed played by Nic Cage) how to get into Alcatraz (including one amazing hilarious scene with flames and slammy things which makes no sense and is straight out of Galaxy Quest.

    Its fantasic.

Now if you want a funny film theory video..

It's literally the only Bay movie I'd be prepared to watch again. I've seen it a few times but not for a long time and several years back almost bought 3rd party 1:6 figures of Mason and Goodspeed.

I like Con Air too, if that's on TV I usually watch it.

    Ah…..

You have to love someone who is really quite aggressive in their ‘I despise toon accuracy’ posting, who then posts a top 5 figures that outside of the MP/3PMP world are renowned for their screen accuracy …..

Yes, of all the arses shown here, the biggest is the "Did it for the LULZ" Prannock.
I mean mean it's clearly a snide Meta gag of why the "Real" James Bond has been replaced by the "Other Fellows", as Shir Shean really didn't miss a chance to get thumbing his nose at Broccoli Productions. Wether good-natured, or because he felt they "Shcrewed him" I know not either way.
However I can see how it could be a lesser variant of the of the "Actually Die Hard is a Christmas Movie" for some folks that mistake a certain contrarianism for having an actual personality.

I've never seen the point in trying to establish a robot mode scale - giant alien robots aren't an actual thing and there's no real frame of reference to establish anything coherent, just what we've seen in a series of frankly inconsistent cartoons and comics. Essentially, the robots can be as big or small as they need to be. But vehicles are another matter - we know roughly how big a car or a lorry is, how big a jet fighter should be, so we can place a human figure next to them and they'll look too big, too small, or possibly even 'just right'. So yeah, I don't worry about robot scale, just vehicle scale.

I've been under the delusion that 1:35 was roughly correct for deluxe cars / voyager trucks for a while, but on testing it out found humans at that scale looked generally too big. These 1:50 scale figures work best with WFC releases which are a little bit more petite, but show up a little bit small next to older deluxe cars, especially from back in the Unicron Trilogy.

2 different Transformers lines on the same packaging and United actually look like they've hired someone who knows what the fuck they're doing!

    Madness!

It'll be cats & dogs living together next! :D

    Ebay:
    Just watched Hawkeye ep4.

Obviously I search similar stuff, but just opened a new tab on my phone, and Google has plonked a spoiler there, from YouTube.

I can't imagine it wouldn't have appeared had I not watched it already, and it's not really a huge spoiler, but for those who like to go in blind to things (OK, boomer) you might want to avoid the Google landing pages until you watch it.

Seems to be becoming a theme this. It's not even like it was a story with a veiled headline and generic image...

Didn't subaru once make a transforming imprezza? Well, they cut one up and gave it arms and a head, so it looked like alternators smokescreen. Needed a crane to transform, but you could use that as the basis of robot mode scale.

Seems the tracking says ectotron was delivered on the 29th. Which means work has lost it, the postman lied, someone pinched it or it was misdelivered. Grrrr. That's annoying. If reception can't track awol parcels, gonna have to put a claim in with royal mail for lost parcels. Has anyone done that before?

The leak stuff... what a prat.

Those BB Movie transformers are pretty much right down my street, and as others have said, are more or less what I wish the Bay designs had been from the out.

I may have to do a top ten 3P and top ten Hasbro as there have been so so many great releases this year.

As for bot arrivals this week, thanks to @Fort Max putting the thought into my head a while ago about Dark Shinkalion, I finally caved, and it arrived this week. Enormous fun. Admittedly it is one of those dreaded partsformers, but… come on. Train/robot/horse/centaur/superbot transformer thing? Can’t be anything but a win. Good paint apps, tight joints, ratchets galore, really rather large, and not an unreasonable price. May end up with more in the future…

Ebay is the usual bundle of joy… sold a guitar on there the other day, got it sent asap. Was due tomorrow but parcelfarce somehow delivered it a day early. Just got a message to complain that it arrived a day early (oh no! I hate when that happens) that I obviously hadn’t had it long (not sure why that would be a problem?) that the case was unnecessary (again… what?!) and then neutral feedback which was just “Pile of crap”. Lovely. Grr.
Not sure if I can be bothered/if it’s even worth trying to offer a return or refund. Flipping ebay.

Kapow was it you said? Maybe double check what address they sent it to for that particular delivery?
