I wish they'd given us an extra exhaust port for the back of the ship to help make it look more 'correct'. IIRC someone did a 3D printed one but I've not seen it since I saw it on here somewhere :S

Not really? Change the shape of the add on, the bottom of the ship shouldn't flare out. And someone else is already making a kit for that, it's just very expensive.

Now if DNA can get off their keisters and release the Matrix Cannon, it would be greatly appreciated. Been over a year & a half now.

 

I just hope that someone would just sell the 5th booster by itself, that's all I ever need to finish my ark.

 

Yeah, well, I catch your drift, but considering they retailed for 29.99, in my case, anything over $50 just means I'd rather either buy and paint a second set of FortMax's and end up with some extra cannons, buy a second one of this set and print an adapter, or straight up print the ones up in thingiverse.

But I'm sure that someone w/o a printer and/or a metro with missing hands would pay for it. I really don't understand why many of them end up with them missing...

I’ll preorder but likely will change my mind later since I have a short attention span and May 2022 (most likely won’t come out until 2023 or later I bet, lol) is far away.   

 

I'm waiting for the inevitable Animated Omega Supreme version. Hopefully that one renders some of these upgrades obsolete.

Also both the standard and upgraded hands seem like they have weird proportions to me. What was that disease Lincoln had that made him extra-lanky?

 

For me is the opposite: I don't care for the side covers, but I really want those hands.
Do you wanna split the upgrades? 

From someone like DNA I was expecting more for the gap fillers. A set of transforming side covers, more like the one from @Mr Cross:

Honestly I was kind of anxious about this release. I thought they would maybe copy some of my ideas in their set. Luckily that didn't happen, though I'm still a bit disappointed, this is basically only a gap filler set with articulated hands.

Btw. the idea for my upgrade sets is to transform the Ark into a version that's as close to G1 appearance as possible.
- leg filler/rear ship side pieces (100% finished)
- front ship side pieces / massive guns for robot mode (50% in progress)
- front ship/robot shoulder gun attachment
- top filler piece to make the top more round
- 5th thruster

If I'll have some spare money by the end of this year I'm also planning to get a resin printer, to print those parts in a quality that comes close to factory produced and then sell them on etsy as a completed and printed set.

 

Any plans for the landing gear? Every other shuttle has wheels. Hasbro's are flimsy, Stubbs.

 

Oh, I'm sure they get bombarded by that request which makes it puzzling that they don't follow through.

 

I'm betting they'll make a booster kit down the road. I'm guessing this is being done quick and dirty so they can compete with the 3d printers and to keep costs per set low. I'm almost certain of it, now, after seeing their Scorponok kits. I don't know when it'll come, but I'd bet money on it, DNA wants that dough.

 

Wonder if it'd be possible to reach out to them and have them "license" your file for a share of the profit... Even if you only get a couple of dollars per set it'd be a big boost due to volume, but I don't think they are very responsive...

 

they are responsive when people reach out from what i know. but the thing is they don't care about sharing a license with some guy at home.

their designers will just make it themselves and keep all the money plain and simple.
