Oops! Didn’t see the postage on that. PROMOTEN should reduce the price to £35.10, though. But postage bumps it back up. Boo hiss, etc.
Has do have an ebay shop which is regularly in the 20% discount, so might be worth keeping an eye out there. The studio series devastator set has been below £200 a few times thanks to that.

The moving job with your mate assisting sounds like the modern equivalent of those old comedy routines consisting of two dudes moving a piano up some stairs, fun for bystanders but not for the people doing it!

I was working at Argos in 2010, I remember freaking staff out by not wearing a coat whilst I helped unload the delivery trucks on winter mornings :D

If I remember right the car I had to try and fit one into was something like a Fiat 500. When I finally managed to get it secured the customer said "I probably should have had a home delivery" and I had to stop myself from saying "No shit".

I wonder how many of those chairs have been seen off in that manner? Seems to me like fart resistance should be something that should be tested for before they leave the factory :D

They said boilers aren't the problem, but getting parts to connect everything up is a problem.

They've haven't said they can't do it before Christmas, they've left it with the much more open ended "we don't know when we can do it".

All of them. Every damn one I expect.
To be fair, thats probably how must chairs in general meet their end.

That still sounds a bit weird to me man. You'd be within your right to have someone else take a look at your old boiler, or to fit you a new one

Sounds like a bit of a cop out if I’m being honest - no issues sourcing any parts/pipes/flues due to anything - even the chap who lives down the road from me is a domestic heating/plumbing engineer and mentioned nothing about that when I saw him last week.

Dare I say, a landlord who might not want to put his hand in his pocket for a boiler this close to Christmas……?

Thrilling 30. It's... fine. Not great, not terrible. Fine. I'd still prefer a VW Beetle Goldbug.

What absolute buggeration. Hope you can get things sorted.

Definitely a possibility. Might be worth a call to your local citizens advice - if they can't make a boiler repair until a fucking month from now there could a case to be argued that your landlord should help at least foot the electricity bill running those heaters.

I actually have a pair of plumbers/ heating engineers here at the moment fixing a leaky shitter/ bath/ shower (all broke within 48 hours of each other, typical) - and I could quiz them about shortages of supplies - obviously the situation might be a bit different here in the sainted Northlands of Ireland, but wouldn't hurt to ask them if they know of any such shortages.

This is why we love you.

Really hope the UK gets a hold of SS86 Cliffjumper and Kup 2.0. While Kup has very few changes, that new paint job on Clifjumper looks amazing! Plus you wouldn't have to worry about paint chipping as the arms are now in black plastic.

Haha, my thoughts exactly. To be honest, they've not been bad landlords, which is why we've ended up being here ten years and not 3 months as planned.

Just to clarify, my use of Christmas as a date to focus on is a tactic on my behalf to get them to remember it's fucking winter and cold and to get a move on. While the plumbers "don't know when" is open ended, it could also mean next week.

Expecting to hear back from the landlords tonight. If the plumber is stone walling them I will strongly recommend they find another plumber.

Honestly, I just want a truck cab-for-feet Motormaster. I'm totally fine with my existing CW Menasor.

Well damn. Looks like they either slightly retooled Kup's head or the face color and eyes being painted makes that much of a difference. I have to get him. Cliff, however, I'm good with the red n black version.

Damn, sorry to hear that. Hope something can get sorted for you guys. I agree with the others, I'm smelling a bit of bullshit with that. I had someone a few weeks ago wanting to sell me a new boiler and they were able to do so in a few days. As for parts to connect, it's just pipes and O rings, you can get stuff like that from most home shops like b&q. I'd be extremely skeptical with that excuse.

EDIT: Edited my initial comment as you posted it was not the landlords, but the plumbers themselves that are causing the issue, while I was typing my response.

So have I missed the window on Studio Series pre-orders? They're showing as out of stock on Kapow?

LOL at the actual Movie-accurate SS86 Kup being put out in Buzzworthy Bee! :lol

Yes, I will be daft enough to nab him if there's a UK release, opaque moobs is a massive minor improvement. I wonder if it's just mold wear and/or different paint that his face does indeed seem slightly improved?
