Fair enough. Would love to know the point of naming the line after Bumblebee. It made sense until the 4 packs and now this as well. Suppose the bug is just supposed to shift figures.

Not a fan of the blue windows. And cel shading? Probably means that the upcoming Arcee is going to have worse looking paint than the Earthrise version.

 

Earthrise Cliffjumper is like $60 now so it's not that weird, and in this case, I think he looks better, and the shoulders aren't painted so those tabs don't have to chip off.

Why? A) the paint looks super sharp and b) we don't even know if SS86 Arcee is the same mold

 

Same reason for SS86 being an excuse to get more Generations style figures while Kingdom has the BW characters

I mean scalpers are scalpers but it's crazy we're going to have 2 figures of Cliffjumper within the span of a year. Just makes me wonder if there's a Bumblebee version of the mold soon or not.

 

Could be there aren't enough figures to do a whole line.

 

He's what? ER Cliffjumper sat on shelves for ages last year where I'm at, I can't believe he's going for that much now!

 

I was going to say it's crazy to me that they decided to do a full on new Deluxe mold for it, even if it has nothing to do with Bee besides Cliffjumper tangentially

 

That's pretty much impossible.

Earthrise Arcee had paint in places where it wasn't necessary and lacked it where it was absolutely necessary.

 

Yep; I've occasionally looked for it and it's easily the most expensive of the ER deluxes.

 

Now that I look at it is it a new mold? It looked bigger but I can't tell if it's just the ER mold in cartoon colors or not

These are probably Target exclusives too, like previous Buzzworthy Bumblebee toys, right?

 

I'm not certain how I would feel about that. I want a Thunderclash, but I would prefer him be his own mold, not just Motormaster in rad colors.

Well, that's fun. I wasn't interested in ER CJ at the time of his release, but I have every other minibot released so far, so it would be neat to have a whole set.

This is odd, but I guess this basically confirms that just straight up more cartoon repaints of previous figures are fair game in 86 now (I didn’t count starscream as it is a slight retool)

 

At this point, people should prepare themselves for SS86 Arcee to be a straight repaint of her Earthrise figure

Nope. I agree that Prime Breakdown shouldn't replace G1 Breakdown when the rest of the team are all G1 with a few tweaks. And if you prefer G1 Menasor and the G1 Stunticons, it's no skin off my nose.

But the RiD15 Stunticons weren't "very bad." Sure they can be not your favorite versions on a cartoon you dislike or hate, but they weren't very bad. They weren't perfect, but their characterizations and onscreen modes weren't any worse than G1 Menasor. Their actual toys sucked though.
