If there's already a thread on this I'm sure it'll be merged. I'll keep it simple.

Jackpot is a straight repaint of Studio Series 86 Jazz, with a retooled head, and a slightly retooled gun (it's a touch shorter than Jazzs). He comes with Sights, a repaint of Pteraxadon, and a blast effect that works great on both axe and gun modes.

Overall for a repaint he really pops. Joints are definitely looser than Jazz, particularly on my copy. Sights works really well as a second gun or melee weapon. I honestly don't see visually or even on camera any color differences between the painted yellow or the hard yellow plastic.

Honestly if this were just sold as a Generations Select instead of as a 'Golden Disk' thing (considering it doesn't come with a golden disk or card at all), I woild have been fine. The mold works real well for what it is. The head could have used to been one solid piece for assembly as it definitely looks askew, but it gives real vibes. 20211202_232655.jpg 20211203_003050.jpg

Does it seem like there are any running changes to prevent splitting in the clear plastic windshield?

It doesn't. The plastic feels the same but is not so tight when transitioning that rear windshield to fold in. It was actually packaged folded up with the doors splayed out. Other than the yellowish tint to the plastic there doesn't seem to be any difference in the formulation.

The head on mine is only slightly crooked.

That being said, he looks great, and the deco really pops on this mold. Also, give me more Actionmaster remolds please Hasbro, and I'll buy doubles of them all for sure!

I got mine over the weekend. Later this week I might check if his head has the same problem.

Can his gun combine with Sights?

Size comparison in vehicle mode with United (RTS) Jazz

close enough for me, United Jazz is a take off a more modern Porsche, which would be bigger than the classic model the WFC mold is based on

Mine's head is about as good as it could be given the molding issue--it looks like the product shots where it is hard to notice from most angles. I have transformed him a few times and don't have any window cracking yet, but that whole clear plastic assembly is scary...

But overall, I think this is a nice figure (my first time with the mold). I hope we get more Action Masters who transform. I've got him hanging with Krok and Mainframe now.

As I expected. I'm on my 3rd Jazz and it has started to crack after 1 transformation. Like by itself untouched for 2 weeks.

I took Jackpot apart and transformed it a few times and the windshield is unbroken, so hopefully it stays that way.

The head is misaligned, but decently easy to fix. It's three parts, with the two sides glued together. Just pry them apart, then trim down a bit of the top of the ball joint socket, as well as the inside of the face where the eye/face piece rests. Once that's done, you can re-glue the parts back together, taking care to "shove" them into allignment.

I used an Xacto blade on the seams, using it ad a lever to pry it open slowly.

    Bot mode with United Jazz

Jackpot is my first experience with the SS86 mold. It seems like a perfectly fine CHUG scale autobot car. The clear plastic worries me, as everyone. The articulation is up to par for modern stuff

its all just so…sufficient. And the QC is subpar, with the head issue, and some odd tolerances in some connections and joints

then i look at this old United Jazz and it…has way better paint apps, double jointed knees and elbows, the flip out speakers on the doors, integrated weapon storage, and im thinking…they didnt really move forward the past decade or whatever. Ankle tilts and a “licensed” alt mold are the only advantages imo

im happy to have jackpot, glad i didnt bother getting SS86 jazz bc it sure as hell wouldnt replace united jazz

Even with a blade i'm struggling, what part of the helmet did you try to pry?

The underside first, then the back.

The Alt mode isn't licensed. Its made to look similar to a Porshe. I like the mold but that head is messed up! Also the windshield will crack. Just a matter of time. I'm on my 3rd Jazz and transformed once into car mode, sat on my desk for 2 weeks and cracked by itself.

Is there any specific bits of mold flash at the top of the ball socket and inside helmet part? Actually, is the bit you had to trim on the latter part the one with the ball socket too? Sorry in advance for the specific questions, just curious in case the head issue doesn't get revised and this seems like the best fix for it out there yet.

No actual flash was there. Just had to trim the plastic down a bit.
