Mine has got to be Optimus Prime from RID 2001. I don't know why, but I just love this design for Optimus Prime.



So what's your favourite? Comic Optimus Prime's are allowed, but no Optimus Primal's. A picture would be also preferred.

Oh yeah, that one's cool too, but I thought it'd be redundant to post another picture after you already posted one. The fire truck mode particularly is probably my favorite Optimus alt mode ever.

These are my three! I love Optimus as a fire engine/truck. It just fits his character for some reason.

 

Call me basic, but I love the G1 cartoon design. Simple and clean.

RID is probably my second fav. I love that super robot form. While I dislike that, without his super robot pieces he literally can't form a complete vehicle, going strictly on a visual basis, he's sweet.

 

G1 obviously. But I also have a soft spot for both of the fire truck Primes. Bumblebee Prime is my favorite live action version.

 

Power Master OP from the Marvel Comic.

 

That's probably my least favourite Optimus Prime design. It just look like he's a little chucky.

 

Ok I actually like Optimus's design from TF2015 the most. It's bulky, but still has curves and it exudes power. The chest windows are also toned down and I like the black and white added to the colour scheme



I also am somewhat to power surge prime in a an anime over-the-top sort of way.



But next up has to be the classic Cybertron Optimus design. A desgin so good, they reused it for the Galaxy Upgrade Optimus Prime in 2019.

It looks very different from other primes with the wing ears and humongous cannons and it's a real optimus meets gundam look



Then last up is armada prime in his first appearance. It takes most of the classic prime elements but it's less of a uniform block.

 

I have to go with the classic G1 design. But I find Prime from Cybertron to have a pretty bad ass body!

 

Though some get close, nothing beats the classic G1 Optimus.

 

Armada Optimus. I think it’s a great example of creating a recognizable version of a beloved character while doing something different with the design. The removal of window pecs may not seem like a big departure but I can’t think of many other Optimus that’s done that aside from maybe Alternators/Alternity.

Also it just looks amazing when it’s drawn at its best.

 

There are lots of good OP designs, but I really have to give it to RID2001 Fire Convoy. So simple yet so different & still easily recognizable. Love this version of Optimus Prime.

 

In terms of overall designs, Laser Optimus wins hands down.



And since the bat version of Optimus Primal was intended to be a new version of the legendary Autobot leader, Bat!Optimus Primal is a very close second.
