The Stunticons were my favourite team / combiner full stop, I just want a cartoon accurate version of them. My favourites were Wildrider and Breakdown.

(Although I wouldn't be surprised if there are more similarities between the two).

 

I'm going to be unsurprised when the $200 G1 toon accurate version comes out in, ohhhh, say 19 months.  
Seriously though, this won't be hard to do. Dead end is "heavily G1 inspired" and it sounds like only minor mods for Motormaster and Wildrider would be needed to get back to toon accuracy so the only one off is Breakdown.
How much you want to bet that we will get a Scamper or some such that happens to have a lambo mode in the next couple of years?

 

Don't even need to wait that long - I'm sure Reprolabels will produce a sticker set for the windows within a month or two of Dead End's release.

 

If they do a new Scamper they would most likely make him a Weaponizer to go with the rest.

I'm sure they know people want him, but you can't give people everything they want all at once. Sure he's coming as some exclusive.

 

Imagine if they make a new bruticus and everyone is perfect but swindle is based on the movie verse design

 

Betting that Breakdown is a retool of that very questionable JP mold. It makes sense now. Release a Deluxe truck with seemingly no character it can be made from in sight, then take the vaguely similar alt mode and use that as a basis for a toy in the new line.

This news is fucking wild, though. Replacing a G1 character 4/5ths through its team with a character that decidedly doesn't fit their size nor role. Breakdown was the best G1 Stunticon too. It's beginning to look like we're in uncharted territory. Hope this means that there's a nice and huge Lugnut not far around the corner (and that means not one who's replacing Vortex.)

 

I think we can all take some comfort in this.

 

Wreckgar, said he would be better let's wait and see. Also I could see them releasing Breakdown as selects, perhaps around the same time Menasor is revealed. Looking forward even more now that I know they're getting creative.

 

Yeah maybe g1 breakdown could be selects or some other line that could allow a retool like that? The other car bots in the team (not counting dragstrip) are pretty similar in terms of engineering so maybe it could work?

 

I wonder how a multiversal Bruticus would go.

I'm going to assume that this would mean that a Breakdown was later on in development, and it just wouldn't make sense for the Prime-like Breakdown to be put in Kingdom. This probably means that G1 Breakdown's probably gonna have an earlier release of sorts, probably as a store exclusive and heavy remold (which'll anger some people, but they made the Coneheads, Ironhide, Prowl, and Ratchet exclusives, so...), while Prime Breakdown's likely going to be used as Offroad in some capacity. Isn't too far-fetched, because I mean...



They DID redeco Offroad to Prime Breakdown in Combiner Wars/Unite Warriors.

 

I kinda dig this version of Menasor. I hope we get a selects version of G1 Breakdown for the people that want him.
