Lol glad I didn't bother waking up, I was damn tired last night. Real pleased to see him still in stock and easy to order on AmiAmi this morning when I woke up. Looks like they're out of stock now too. Surprisingly might've been one of the last to go!
Easy pass for me. I don't have any other Mandolorian figures and I don't feel like this version is so much better than the RotJ Luke that I need to swap out. More power to those who are into it though.
Sure hope they go up on amazon.jp where I can snag one. Otherwise I'm gonna be telling myself the same thing. These went faster than the new Din and Fett. I casually snagged those after my morning meeting the day they dropped.
https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/gp/product/B09MRXMPXL Kinda pricey there, but not many options left to not pay now.
Thanks my dude! I never mind too much when I get stuck paying the Amazon tax. The 13 or 14 USD difference in Yen is a bummer but everything I've ordered from Amazon Japan has also always freaking telephoned to my doorstep. I bought my Maul, Jango, and ROTJ Luke off Amazon Japan and the longest any of them took was 3 days from Japan to KCMO. Maul and Jango were both here within two. With DBZ figuarts it feels like there's so many more figures that I'm leery of paying on any mind of early tax, but before this rush of Mando figures I'd only wanted maybe one or two a year, which makes the markup very doable. Anyway, TLDR: you are freaking amazing for dropping the Amazon.JP link!
I concur. Everytime ive ordered from Amazon.jp , it's gotten to me in two days. Usually it says it will take a week and arrives much sooner. It confuses me there a us based sellers i can order from, pay priority shipping, and still not get it in two days... but s toy from Japan? No problem.
I got Cooler yesterday. He's incredible, an absolute unit whether you care for the movies hes from or not.
So STAR WARS FIGUARTS ARE ACTUALLY BEING RELEASED OFFICIALLY IN THE US! And the first ones up are KARRE and AM from Visions! They are Target exclusives though. Karre: Star Wars S.H. Figuarts STAR WARS VISIONS - Karre Am: Star Wars S.H. Figuarts STAR WARS VISIONS - Am
84.00 usd?! I’ll wait for Tamashii Nations to make the proper announcement. Also chances are Target is importing these given the description, which explains the price.
If they are available at regular retail in Japan I'll definitely switch my orders to AmiAmi or somewhere like that. If they're P-Bandai, then will end up paying as much in middleman fees to equal out Target's prices pretty much lol. But still hyped to see them happening. Target has been getting into the import game though, carrying quite a few different SHF Gokus now though for a while now. So maybe these really will be exclusive there.
Then they'll keep sending you a request to approve delays on the items and eventually cancel it altogether. Their preorder system is shit. They always have an active temporary charge placed on your card until the item ships or get canceled.
This. You never order from Target unless it's an exclusive. Honestly, given the toon aeathetic here is a huge departure from the rest of the Star Wars line (which makes sense given the source material), I doubt these are gonna set the world on fire. Even if they did, I'm still not sure it's worth emails at 2 am everyday as Target tries to cancel my PO for the hundredth time. They permanently charge your card, cancel on a whim, and if they make a mistake and cancel your order their system also isn't smart enough to let you reorder on the same account. There's a bunch of bots with the Batman Year 2 figures POd from Target 'cause Target accidentally cancelled on everyone and the only way to reorder was scramble to create a new account since reorders violated quantity limits in their system. EDIT: Bad news for any Visions Collectors. It is a US exclusive through Target. Glad the first Target Exclusive Star Wars Figuarts are such an easy pass for me. That's the MSRP. Target isn't spending resources literally buying these from HLJ or something and importing these themselves. They've got plenty of Bandai stuff on shelves now, so it's direct from them. I've had like a single issue preordering at Target, but otherwise I've literally received everything else no problem between Star Wars, Jurassic Park, and Marvel Legends.
