Much like said earlier, those aren't V2's, just reissues with improvements. They give replacement parts otherwise and if you like that or not is up to you, but I've had to get replacement parts for a few of my FT figures. Does that mean they should have had a V2 as well?

Lol no, those two had replacements made in response to how bad the originals were. I do think it's funny that you are trying to put words in my mouth though. There is a difference between a V2 and a reissue.

 

Depends on what you class as a V2 of the same figure which fixed really poor QC problems. Off top of my head it's Ollie and Locke. These reissues were blatant 'we effed up now we've fixed it'.


Reissue's with improvements that fix a problem or change paint I wouldn't class in the same category otherwise every company has had loads of V2 releases.

 

I think since it's preceptor, and xtb fixed locke and jocund is solid, I'm willing to get a first release of Janssen. If there does happen to be an issue xtb will fix it.

They are so close to being a top tier 3rd party company(even with the issues they really are already), I really hope they nail all the releases they have coming!

 

I got out on most their new mold except perceptor since honestly how often will most folk transform him into a full size microscope anyways. he'll stand around in the background telling us how he fears the wounds are....fatal.

 

I don't have much expectation of Perceptor. It is blockish, plain and ugly (*).   I don't know if I need two. Maybe I'll just go with XTB, since it comes with all the fancy accessories, and price!

I wonder about the figure's posability. Tesla looks really good in that sniper pose and all we've seen out of Jansen is that it's hands can be on it's hips in a "hrumph" or hero pose, whichever mood you think it's in. I do think the face is actually better on this one as tho. I love that this comes with a sniper IDW head.

 

Did you not look at the myriad of poses on the first post on the page with him in the super hero landing amongst many others? He looks plenty poseable.

Waiting for a review of this guy. If the figure is good in hand and the QC is high then I'll soften my stance on XTB and take a chance.

 

As long as it doesn't turn to dust, I'm all in. I actually like it more than Tesla 2.0 so if the QC is there, I'm ready.

I've seen many ppl defending paying a 'premium' price. Absolutely lunacy and it seems to breed on the specific fb groups. As long as there's lots of ppl out there doing that, these companies will keep pushing them higher.
