Honestly I don't think making an Ironhide that doesn't partsform the roof at a voyager price point will be very difficult.

 

I did turn the drone into SG Ironhide, but I have no regrets because this will be Diaclone Ironhide for me, and now they’ll be different.  

While I’m disappointed that this isn’t a redeco of the upcoming rumored Voyager mold, I’m pretty happy we’re finally getting a black Ironhide (even with a flawed mold). A black Ironhide in the hand is worth two in the bush.

And I love the red face. I always enjoy Transformers with unconventionally-colored (i.e. not silver) faces.

 

Last I read on here, I believe leakers were expecting that to be a 2023 release. There’s no way we were going to get a Selects redeco of a mold a year before its regular deco.

 

so? this is a custom after all to recreate the rumored Diaclone Ironhide?

Aren’t there specific notes added that say “this figure can also be repurposed as this other character.” Even then TFwiki ain’t exactly gospel

 

Hmmm..... I have no clue who this is but it does look less generic than that Gray Netflix Quintesson minion was.

So beyond what its original origin is... (if this is even legit) Who would be the best character to repurpose this figure as???

 

It's your collection and you can display it however you want. Want him to be the diaclone guy? Cool. Want him as SG Ironhide? Also cool. It's your toy man

 

Partsforming has been around since the 80's, it's not the worst thing to happen to a figure.

 

I really like those colors on him!

 

It's a very very long, convoluted story of customizing and parts swapping, between a Siege Ratchet and an ER SG Ratchet (At the time the Paradron Medic pack was going for over 300).. But I ended up with SG Siege mold version of Ratchet, and a unique ER version and this Ironhide is perfect to go with that Siege SG Ratchet and purple Optimus.

It can be either! Just get ya some SG emblems from Reprolables if you need to.

 

I'm going to blow your minds. Since Deseeus drone is my SG Ironhide (Siege mold is just too good), I might use this one as… SG Sentinel Prime. He comes with a shield after all and just needs some sort of a double-sword.

 

Well I’d like to see the try and stop me.

Oh yeah, I agree, this will make a perfect SG Ironhide. Or Diaclone. Either way, just like Red Hoist and (rumored) Blue Trailbreaker.

 

Good point! Especially since it's safe to say that after Crankcase's Legacy release, it's all the "Scavengers" crew Hasbro is going to give us. So I guess I'll just take CW's "Jet mode Blastoff" and repurpose him as Fulcrum.
