That's too bad I thought they are on a roll with their own designs lately.. well maybe I'll wait for NA or MS then. Thanks for the heads up.

yeah both of their roddy releases have been a little lack luster to say the least.

it makes me wonder if they should have just gone on and bite the bullet and released their original mild idea even after it was stolen.

i feel like that was the best legends representation of roddy we have seen so far.

I skipped him because I had papa toys version. Glad I did though. I think he looks better.

I skipped MFT Hotrod, but only because I can't get over those odd colors. While I wish for a version 'A' (à la Octane) to come out eventually, I'd be more than happy to see Magic Square announcing their own take on the character.
Even if it was still available - and regardless the spot on paint scheme - I wouldn't buy the Papa Toys figure anyway. Way too big and boxy for my liking... In bot mode, I think MFT Hotrod still looks much much better.

Yes he had a very boxy chest if I had gotten on with collecting legends Autobots a bit earlier I might of owned him by now but I left it too late, (he's only available for crazy silly money now) I'm not overstruck on mft Hotrod compared to there over recent releases he's not the greatest looking I will eventually pick him up to complete my movie lineup but won't be in a rush to if you catch my Drift.
A while back I I did a comparison if I should go all in with an 86 movie display based off studio series vs legends as I have a good head start in both plus total cost, quality of sculpts and level of detail, legends won although the figures are slightly more expensive in general they were more accurate and better looking for the the most part plus I already had more legends from the movie than ss, but the only sad thing was ss Hotrod was ultimately better than mft Hotrod and inly a few quid more I'm sure I'll pick him up too eventually due to him being a one off stunning example.

Man, I get not liking the existing 3P versions if those aren't your thing... But not sure how you could like this thing better than those.

It's because when I comes down to someone making Devcon they always just use a scourge to remold him from every god dam time he deserves more respect than that. His one appearance in the cartoon he doesn't have wings out his back and such, I wanted to have a Devcon in my collection for ages but not just another repaint. I grant he's not my best custom and it's been a while (plus legends scale is more tricky to work on) but to me he's more like Devcon than any buyable piece out there, sorry for sharing if you feel that way. Each to there own perhaps most people are happy with what's on the market for the character while the rest aren't that bothered about the character at all.

Damn, dude. You don't have to like his custom but you don't have to be an ass about it.

Personally, I'm not all that interested in the character but if I were, I'd want him to be his own proper mold, not a Scourge repaint. I hate the whole thing where they just slap a new head and paint job on a figure and call it a completely unrelated character.

Thanks mate I really appreciate those kind words.

End of the day everyone is entitled to there own opinion, I just trying to explain the importance to me about the subject of Devcon and why I feel that way about it.

I finally caved and added Lordscorpion to my Headmasters shelf. I knew he was small, but I wasn't prepared for that small.

Oof. Yeah, way too small for that price point. He's not even that imposing next to other IF figures. He's cool looking, though, I'll give them that.

I guess I just have to accept he's only a monsterbot, not a citybot. Of course, Zeta's Fortmax doesn't exactly scream titan either.

    Those poses are brilliant hahaha

Arh I'm getting really tempted looking at them more now, at first I thought they were quite expensive but same as the new zeta toys Arielbots so not too bad

Also just watched the stop motion on show z they have a really cool transformation
