We all love transformers so let's accept that sometimes it can be a little corny. What are the worst and/or corniest lines of dialogue in Transformers?

Here's one: Beast Wars Megatron - "It's the spark that keeps on sparking."

 

Anything out of Spike's mouth in seasons 1 & 2.

 

Corny, but not without charm:

"No one's ever really disabled as long as he has courage!"
- Chip Chase, The Transformers S1E06, "Divide and Conquer"
TF Wiki put it best: "And that's one to grow on."

"Hang on to your dreams, Chip. The future is built on dreams. Hang on."
- Optimus Prime, The Transformers S2E12, "The Core"
And that's another one to grow on.

"Well, well, well. Your situation exactly matches your location: TERMINAL!"
- Jetstorm, Beast Machines: Transformers S1E03, "Fires of the Past"
Words cannot express how much I miss this guy.

"Who's the baddest shark around? Who's the smartest shark in town? Sky-Byte, that's me! Who'll drive Scourge into the ground and never let old Megatron down? Sky-Byte, that's me!"

Honestly, almost everything that comes out of his mouth fits into this category.

Hot Shot: "You have no idea what you're up against, but you'll find out soon enough... and you're gonna find out the hard way!"
Red Alert: "We owe you some payback, Megatron. No, I take that back. We owe you a LOT of payback! You're gonna get what's coming to you, and then some!"
Scattorshot: "You think that you can come after my friends and me and get away with it? Well, you've got another thing comin', and a few punches and missles to boot! Pack your bags and get ready to say goodbye!"

A rare example of "dub beats sub" in this franchise.

"You're too self-centered to get it. We didn't just 'link up.' Our power comes from being part of a team, and working with others for the good of the universe, NOT just for ourselves! THAT is the Autobot way!"

They sure don't make Primes like they used to. I'll take this over "GiVe Me YoUr FaCe" and "TELL ME YOU FORGIVE ME" any day.

Cringe-worthy:

"Let the battle be here, on this strange, primitive world, and let it be called... Beast Wars!"

One of the reasons this show's first season is considered the weakest.

"Our power is greater than theirs, because it comes from a place of goodness, not greed."
- Optimus Prime, Transformers: Robots In Disguise (2001) E01, "Battle Protocol!"
Cheesy, even for this show. Made me want to puke the first time I heard it.

"I have always been more than meets the eye."
- Megatron, Transformers: Combiner Wars E08, "Destruction's Dawn"
Even the best Megatrons aren't without fault.

 

Any time robot words are used over normal words ("servo" for "hand" for example).

 

"Laserbeak, you tinfoil turkey!"

 

“I’m stupid! I’m stupid!” “Megatron, has fallen!”

 

You couldn't lead Antroids to a picnic...

 

"I bring you greetings, Optimus Prime—lethal greetings!"

"She's hot enough to replace you whenever I choose!"

"Yes, you're definitely on my replacement list, Starscream! Hahaha, she's everything I've always wanted!"

 

“I’ve got better things to do tonight than die” by Springer in 86 movie is one of my favourite corny tough guy lines. Definitely bargain bin Han Solo vibes but in the best way possible.

 

You have no clue how much I keep thinking about this scene. What did he mean by this

 

This right here. It’s akin to everyone in 1914 Europe yelling, “let us battle in the trenches, and let it be called… World War One!”

 

I think that's a better line than anything Han Solo said.

Everytime "Maximise" or "Terrorise" are said in Beast Wars.

Everytime a Transformer shouts or grunts like an anime character makes me cringe. Combiner Wars Windblade is very guilty of this.

"Give me your face!"

 

Hmm… been a bit since I watched the original trilogy so I’m not as refreshed on Han’s likes but I think
“I love you”
“I know”
beats this any day, personally. I also think that Springer, while definitely well acted, doesn’t have Harrison Ford’s natural swagger.


The “give me your face” line is also amazing imo!

 

"As the Earthlings say: fat chance, fathead!"

And to be entirely fair to Chip, this came from the same episode where he was completely unaffected by acid rain, and his debut episode showed him tearing a floppy disk apart with his bare hands. I'm fairly positive the kid's some sort of demigod.

 

One of the corniest lines I could think of are the trash talk Optimus says when he fought Megatron on top of the dam in episode 2.

 

I remember wondering if it was actually possible to tear a floppy disk like that...

"Junk! That's what you are, junk!"

 

"Megatron...BEGONE!!"

For some reason, I find that line of Optimus at the beginning of TF: Prime's second season to be incredibly lame and corny, even by the standard of this franchise; That flat delivery by Mr. Peter Cullen doesn't help, either.
