Prime probably did get skipped for a Cybertron mode because he already got the Bumblebee Earth mode figure, which looks great in its own right, while all of these guys are essentially brand new.

And this is the funny part - I genuinely am okay with the first three bay films. Hell, Movie Landmine is one of the best Transformers figures ever created, period, I own all three versions, and ROTF's toyline was - with some exceptions - a fucking GOLDEN AGE for the franchise. I've repeated this numerous times and people just conveniently forget this because it serves the narrative of using me as a scapegoat. I just think that AoE and TLK jumped off the cliff in quality so hard, which is why I'm so vehemently against more of it.

I wouldn't be so sure. Just look at this roundtable this thread is about. An entire event surrounding characters who appeared for 30 seconds at most. They're all getting new figures that look incredible, even though as already pointed out the ones in the film were literally thrown together last minute using recycled CGI assets.

We're getting these before the main villains from ROTF and AoE. All you have to prove that Fallen and Galatron even exist as possiblilities are listings, which could easily be canceled by Hasbro at any time and then you'd have nothing. If Hasbro actually, legitimately wanted to still push bayverse, where are those characters? They didn't even get MENTIONED in this roundtable. Kinda says a lot, don't ya think?

It will definitely happen. They wouldn't have gone through the trouble of designing a vehicle mode from scratch for a character that didn't have one only to release an out of scale $10 figure.

Ooooh, I love Arcee's alt-mode, like a more streamlined Cybertron Crumplezone. Wish there were more three wheeler Cybertronian modes.

 

It used to be consensus bay films are bad and his designs are (mostly) bad, now if you say anything against bay you have an army of his fanboys to deal with.

As for this toy, toy looks nice but not a fan of the design. I might be interested if it were a different character.

I will say that it's getting kind of annoying that they're doing reveals during these closed door round tables rather than doing a fan friday that is accessible to everyone. Blaster was revealed during a round table as well.

Okay--I've talked the size issue in the other threads plenty, so I know this will be small. But I REALLY like what they've built here. I don't really want it as Arcee, but I would love to see the repaint potentials (a blue one is very likely) just to get a new character in my ranks.

But seriously, this is a great design, and how they got a motorcycle out of it is pretty note-worthy. I also appreciate that the chest/upper body is utilized for the back of the vehicle mode instead of just tucked out of the way like certain ER versions (which they totally could have done, since that was never any defining aspect of whatever her vehicle mode could have been in the movie).

Another "waiting for a repaint" same as Brawn. But it looks pretty cool.

 

Why would they talk about The Fallen or anyone else? This roundtable was talking about the recently revealed stuff. The Fallen will get his own reveal next year. Funnily enough, they mentioned Frenzy, brains etc. And cancelling them? Lmao this guy is the most wanted figure out of them all.

Really wish the designers were able to make Soundwave's alt mode closer to the concept art. That looks like a much better sci-fi hover craft.

 

I agree. It’s been a long, long while. This needs to be done. eBay aftermarket prices are far too inflated
