I dig it. Just wish jinbao had a matching blue-ish purple version instead of the reddish purple original version. The mix matching gets me the more I look at it.

Thanks for posting this video Hougankid. That looks really good. I never noticed the purple being different before, that kinda sucks, but the kit still looks great. Does anyone know what the guy in the video is saying, does he like it, or any negatives about this kit?

don't know what he was saying. but considering the big bot was able to just stand tall on the turntable gives me hope.

an unmodified devy would have spun off and slammed into the wall before the first rotation was ever complete.

glimpses of the kit came out around september or whatever. how we can actually get it is still in the air for now other than using a shipping service.

why the purple is different could just be chalked up to him not having the right color filament on hand.

3D printed kit by a guy in China, goes by the name LikeToys. We’re still trying to figure out how to get it since he doesn’t ship out of China. The pants piece uses a friction joint and not ratchets. He also has parts for several other combiners as well to get them to the 20” height.

Actually for this video, he's introducing the feet attachments, since it's a new addition to the upgrade kit that he had bought earlier.

But from what I can gather based on my crappy Mandarin:
    • the feet attachments makes it more stable, and the back of the feet is less fiddly as there are places to secure the original parts to.
    • quick summary of what are all the upgrade kit parts when he is pointing to them
    • pointing to Long Haul's empty torso sticking out the back, saying he took out the lower half of Long Haul

This is his earlier video of the kit when he first got it, without the feet attachments: https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1oq4y1r7W7?share_source=copy_web

Pretty much the same as the other video, where he is just talking.

He shows off Long Haul's lower half that he took out, saying you can leave it on, but it sticks out, so he's opting for a cleaner look at the back.

    There's ratchets in the knees.

His chest piece is loose, so he's getting a replacement from the designer.

Pants adds to the stability, as he had the official upgrade kit before, and A-stance is more stable, but the upper torso still needs to be balanced for the back and forth, as the hips are still not that strong enough.

Overall, he doesn't really seem to say if he likes the kit or not, but he doesn't seem to dislike it either.

That's exactly what he said. Stable even on turntable.

You can start reading from page 204 onwards. I've posted images and the Weibo account of LikeToys, the guy that prints them. The Prowlstator is particularly impressive as well.

Wish me luck, I have just placed an order for this set via a shopping agent I picked off google. If it doesnt work out I can always lodge a credit card or Paypal dispute.

I will let everyone know my total cost once finalised.

Also, a big thank you to stinkyshawn who helped me out and gave me some tips and referred me his own shopping agent.

Good luck, what did you order. Also, where are you located? That could give some of us an idea for shipping cost.

I'm also curious. StinkyShawn pointed me to his shipping agent, but they never replied to me. Still interested for sure.

    Hey Shawn,

    Thanks for all your help.

Do you know what the weight of the non Prowl upgrade set was and also the box dimensions in respect of a parcel/packaging that this comes in? I’m trying to determine the cost for shipping to my country.

Also, do you have a web link to the shoes/slippers? I need the actual link to plug that info into am agent’s platform site.

    Really appreciate the help.

    Many thanks,
    Steve

I posted it 2 pages back, and you had "liked" it before:

KO OS GT Gravity Builder (Devastator)

Maybe you can make it a habit to instantly bookmark stuff that you might want to come back to later, so that you don't lose it, and don't have to search through the thread again, which can be a hassle. :)

I did look back and must have missed it. I only saw the upgrade kits and the links. I will have another look.

    Thank you. :thumb

You probably know by now that I'm in Australia. I purchased the non prowl set + the foot set.

I couldnt justify the cost of the prowl set plus the fact that I dont own a MP17
