I wish you the best of luck on that, my friend. I'm still waiting on the screw hole cover and now one of the guns that mysteriously went missing from that figure. C'mon Cang, get it together. I understand you're in the middle of getting projects like Thunderking Sr. & Jr. done and out the way for your next line of work, but with the mistakes you're making, you're gonna start losing customers one by one, sooner or later.. It's gonna take more than just a missing screw hole cover and gun for me to drop out. I had made a pledge that once I started this set in particular, I wasn't backing out, no matter the cost. I've come this far and 4 figures in for both sets and I'm not stopping now. My mission will come to an end when both these guys are complete. But don't count me out the TF game altogether. I'm just gonna take a long break after. Anyways, my point is, stay on your game Cang. I look forward to completing both sets. Who's with me?

 

I’m here fully for the big Thunderkang. Will use in my chug stuff as I always pictured combiner teams bigger than most other characters. Plus I admire this is stylized. Majority of 3rd parties bore me because they focus too much on G1 cartoon accuracy. Stylized takes like this should be promoted more imo.

Also kinda hope they release Divebomb in Starscream colors. I know that’s weird but I feel like that’d look cool.

 

Yes, I understand where you're coming from with that. I mean don't get me wrong, I love G1 and all, but for a company to keep trying to aim for the G1 accuracy everyone craves, it becomes boring after a while and people like to see something different, something original, something that stands out above the rest. The entire set is highly stylized and that's a new one for me. I dig it, especially considering the fact that 1.) Cang went for the Zoid-like beast type animals for their take on the Predacons 2.) instead of the feet being like the usual double barrel gun torrent type feet that is usually used in other attempts of the G1 version from other 3rd parties, two wolves are the feet and 3.) Cang's design is original. Someone pointed out recently that Thorilla was an original mold before he evolved to become part of the team. His hammer is modeled after the very hammer Thor had in all Avengers movies. He along with Jerry (Gerald, Eugene or whatever you desire to call him) both have a very crucial and critical role to play within the team. Without Jerry as the hands, how will Thundeking hold his mighty sword? And I can't imagine the disaster that awaits if the "pants" go missing lol. Maybe these 3rd party companies should take notes and learn from these guys. Out of all Predakings I've seen, Cang's version is on top and in 1st place on this one. MMC's Feral Rex ranks 2nd or tied with Cang in 1st..

From what I've seen from the early sketches of their Dinobots, it looks like they're gonna take the same stylized approach they adapted for their Predacons and turn them into massive beasts. The combined mode will look wicked (in a good way) and it makes you wonder just how they plan to carry out the execution of these figures when the time comes..

 

Seeing their Grimlock makes me want them to do a Beast Wars Megatron is a similar style.

 

I was gonna stop collecting tf’s after I finished thunderking, then they announced their dinobots, then XTB announced Defensor. So yeah, here for a while. Defensor was going to be the last combiner that I was going to get, when an MP scaled came out anyway. But when Cang showed their dinobots, I got excited about it and am eagerly awaiting combined mode renders.

Now that would be impressive. Something tells me that Cang is gonna have a whole line of combiners waiting for the fans. You'll never know, they may shock everyone with their take on something that has never been done before by any 3rd party or any other company for that matter. I can tell, that would be EPIC!!!

 

Well, Thunderking is an "upgrade" from Feral Rex. Until the set is complete, Feral Rex remains "King" for now anyways. Before this project, preorders appeared all over the internet at the end of last year for MS Radiatron (Raiden) but I couldn't do anything about that til January of this year. As soon as I got my money, I dove straight for it. And it's funny because there were so many people at the time talking and wishing for an MP Raiden for the longest. Now, we're all here lol. Anyways, yeah, I was gonna continue after Thunderking, but for reasons that can't be disclosed, I have to end my combiner hunting at Raiden. But I'll be off of here after completion of Thunderking Sr. & Jr. I might return every once in a while to check on everyone..

Placed my preorder deposit(s) for the remaining 5 figures for Thunderking Jr. after it was brought to my attention. Just waiting for the full prices to pay for them and the 3 remaining figures for Thunderking Sr. I take it that Kinglion & Thorilla will run about the same price as each other, but also a bit higher than the other 4 members. The rhino will most likely cost about the same as both Ferocious & Landbull (both running $150/piece through TFSource). The pattern speaks for itself. Still waiting to have the rhino with a proper introduction lol

 

Expect Kinglion at the end of Feb. 2022 or March more likely.

Yeah, both torso-bots come with a wolf. So not only is it probably going to cost a bit more than the other members, but also the box might be even bigger than Firmaments box, so expect some additional shipping costs.

But yeah, wouldn't mind the breather... just picked up a FT Thomas 

 

I think I'm out of this set. It was cool at first but now that I think about it I don't have room for a statue. Hoping I can get rid of these first three figures locally (SoCal) so I can jump on that legends scale comfortably.

 

I don't know, there are a lot of sharp points on the legends version. I would be very careful about jumping on it at all, let alone comfortably

That depends on where you're buying them from. I'm currently dealing with TF-Direct to finish off this set as well as the mini. It's free shipping from them, regardless of price. Plus, air parcel takes about a week to arrive in the US. I don't mind the wait. Just hope they have him looking like a King of Beasts is supposed to lol
