Oh well, I was hopeful after all that time they were going to tweak them, but skipped. I'll hope someone else tackles these guys or MS eventually circles around and does 2.0 for the Datsun Bros.

 

They did tweak it.

They transposed the tampos, and changed the green to blue.

I guess I can paint over it...

And hey, those who wanted the missile launchers should be happy too

Well, I still like this Prowl and I'm glad the wait is finally over. But personally, I somehow feel like MS could/should have made some small changes to this Prowl.. Especially after making us wait for so long.

This mold is starting to show it's age, because of the long wait. Prowl's release feels unannounced, but probably because Prime v2 is not far from being released.
The 'problem' is Prowl is being released at a time where Magic Square is releasing far more sophisticated and better designed bots.. Just take a look at the Constructicons, Prime v2 and Jazz.
I will certainly be enjoying this Prowl, but I do hope the Datsun bros and Lambo bros will get a v2 treatment in the future

I'm new to Legends and only just got Bluestreak. The mould's not perfect but I really dig the figure so I'm sure I'll be happy with MS Prowl too. Shoulder wheels would have been nice but I can see why it wouldn't have them. The only thing I don't like is the "Patrol" stuff on the doors but that might be fixable.

 

Paid! I'm glad he will come with cannon shoulders!.

 

wasnt feeling it at first with bluestreak. but after i got him home i really like the fig. it was nice to have a nice g1 non chibi fig on the shelves for a change.

 

Yeah I get the gripes but in the end, he's a nice heroic build. I'll be peeved if Smokescreen takes another year. Otherwise, I'm not sure what will survive on my shelf. I had planned to have MS in bot mode and NA in vehicle, but since NA is so prolific, and generally won the Decepticon war for me, we'll see. What's saving MS right now is all their truckbots.

 

I was the same way, Bluestreak really grew on me. I definitely prefer the less stylized/chibi more g1 toon look for these bots.

To me this MS Prowl looks a lot closer to the 86 movie prowl than NA, and I love the headsculpt, MS nailed that.

Ugh.. life lessons. In honor of Prowl releasing, I decided to grab Bluestreak and fiddle with him at my desk.. above my newly poured cup of coffee... yes, you guessed it, I dropped him, in just-completed alt mode, right into it, and he disappeared like a dinosaur in the Labrea tar pits. sigh.

yes, I still drank my delicious coffee.

 

Coffee and nylon plastic, a new flavor combo. Let's see NA or MFT do that with their hard plastics.

 

happy for those content with this getting this, but being one of my fav character, this is disappointing that they didn't revise the mold after all this time. would have loved to see MS knock this out of the park to give us a primo Prowl. sadly will sit this one out and hope eventually they make a v2.

 

Terrible idea for a business: you milk the mold at least 3 times (for NA will be 6-7) and later when all are sold out, you announce V2.

I get why people complains about this but my Streak is among the most beautiful legends I have, can wait for this release and Smokescreen too.

 

Glad it's finally here, but I can't believe they used that long wait to make the door graphics even worse than they were on the prototype.

 

as terrible you think this is as a business practice, milking a mold isn't a strong point for MS. if anything they seem to be fine releasing single small runs and be done with it, as well as letting KO companies have at it, intentional or not.

i'm all for milking a mold, but only if it's actually good and they add value with great paint apps and/or retooling the mold well to suit something else. NA is very good at that and IF is fairly close 2nd in that aspect as well.
