I still think the G1 toy had the better looking base mold. Although the modern toy wins simply because of much larger it is.

 

Always the case

 

All the G1 bases end up winning just because they always have more of the little ramps, consoles, emplacements, etc. It'd be nice if the newer ones did it too, but if they had to drop something, I'd rather they drop that over robot or scorpion details. It's a shame that DNA and other companies don't do for that sort of stuff in their kits more often, but I can imagine the market just isn't as big.

 

Minor gripe, but I do wish the new mould had those hidden missile pods in the thighs that the G1 had (base mode).
I remember getting G1 scorpy for the first time and being pleasantly surprised that they were there as a nice little extra (some of the stock photos didn’t reveal them).
A pity DNA doesn’t appear to have taken advantage of their thigh and leg extension kit (DK23 IIRC?) to add them.

PS And I SOOOO miss rolling wheels gimmick in scorpion mode that allowed the legs look like they were moving organically by themselves!

 

Sooooooooo any ideas if thag GameStop release date is correct for tommorow?

Yep, I believe they showed it off during the stream where they revealed Lift-Ticket, as part of the reveal of the new Selects packaging style for Legacy.

 

I just want it to hurry up, I got a fire guts fh Ginrai and their overlord and the scorponok mold scales good with them

Puts Scorponok to shame! Love those colors. Only wish he had the old headsculpt, but I know it's keeping things accurate to actual BZ. I like that he has a little flip down visor!
