Jesus, they should have hired you to do the official product photography; it actually looks like it's worth $100 here!

Incapable Hulk, your photos are STUPENDOUS! Truly god-tier shots.
I don't know why you or anyone think that; I think it's a cheap, overly simple, gappy, floppy, awkward-kneed ripoff. Tyrannica (my name for Tyrannocon Rex) is snazzy though. Can't wait to see what ToyHax does for her...!

Goddamn what did Hasbro do to you? :lol

It's certainly a disappointing figure for me due to the older standard this figure is made by but it's hardly a horrific figure. I still love both. Rexy is hands down my favorite version of that mold but JP93 is good too.

Simple answer? We don't all have the same tastes. Personally I also love the JP93 mold. It could have used a bit more polish, but overall it's about average as far as car bots go.

The vast majority of the budget must have gone to all the paint hits (seriously, the thing is covered from every angle with multiple layers of deco) because, yeah, the mold itself is basically Cyberverse-tier. Hell, there's Cyberverse deluxes with more parts than he has.

The JP93 mold is pretty bad with the backwards design and the inexcusable huge gaps in the torso. The loose ball joints on top of that just makes it worse. Even if your copy isn't loose out the box, just wait until it wears in a little bit.

Of course, the rolling eyes on Tyrannocon is such a QC mess. It seems like it shouldn't be because it's such a small part of the figure. However, the eyes easily draw so much attention. Tyrannocon's dino facial expression goes from fierce dino to laughing stock just from mispainted pupils alone. The misaligned bot head panel is a new QC issue unique to this version of the mold.

Recently went to a Target and saw the Mattel legacy version escape packs. All the dino eyes were painted correctly in comparison.

The price is ridiculous for what we got. Would've been much happier with the purchase for a cheaper price and tighter JP93 ball joints at least.

Yes, various issues, even the eyes, are "fixable" but shouldn't need to be fixed in the 1st place.

    End rant

When transforming into bot mode, the front right corner of the head plate is now catching and won't set properly...unless a lot of force is used. Ours is going in easier now, but after forcing it in the 1st time, noticed a tiny chip afterward.

This shows where the head plate is catching and the tiny chip on ours after forcing the head plate to rotate fully. This was never an issue with Megatron or T-Wrecks.

It just went up as available from other retailers, I'm not sure what's best for the UK, but maybe check your other usual suppliers?
Transformers x Jurassic Park Crossover Set Available at More Retailers - Transformers News - TFW2005

I got my preorder in with Entertainment Earth, and there was a coupon that made it cheaper than ordering from Amazon.

Comics and cocktails have it at £99 right now, but probably not delivery until January - Amazon Italy already dispatched mine else I would have saved the £5 - every penny counts lol

Thank you so much - that's really kind of you guys. :)

Wow - that is awesome of you. Thank you. :)

I really like the set. It's a dream come true for me, and the JP Explorer is my all time favourite vehicle from anything ever. JP93's vehicle mode is fantastic and one of the most important things was always going to be the deco and this is the most decoed and accurate JP tour vehicle toy that's every been produced which is wild in itself. I love the robot mode too but I am generally pretty positive about most toys. My one gripe would be the way the clear roof flips under the feet - that's not the wisest choice!:)

Here are a couple more. :)

Thanks to you I ordered the set this morning.

I'll be displaying them sealed for a bit though, as they look beautiful even in their packaging.

I cancelled my order last week when I got the notification from Amazon.ca that it would be shipping to the tune of 175 and change. It was re-priced to 155 plus 13% tax, and I know for an absolute fact in June when I pre-ordered the set it wasn't anywhere close to that. I think I pre-ordered it for 99.99 or maybe 104.99.

    Fuck off Hasbro and Amazon.
