LOL. It's a really, REALLY stylized rendition of his original toy head I think...but now I can't un-see the Cyclonus resemblance!

I can't get over how his cannon looks like a pea-shooter here! LOL

Yeah he's only done it a couple of times to galvatron. I have the Selects galvatron enroute from bbts. Excited is not the word. Big galvatron fan.

 

My one main crit of this otherwise delightful figure is that both the purple triangle on his back/top of the cannon, and the purple barrel adapter, are grey plastic dipped in purple paint. Because of this, the tolerance between them when the adaptor is pegged onto the top of the cannon behind the triangle piece is so tight that you can't not scrape off paint. Now the back of my triangle piece has four little light grey spots on it. They probably could have gotten asway with only dipping one in paint, but dipping both leaves no gap between the two pieces when properly transformed. Not a huge dfeal; I knew the problem was coming but decided I wanted everything pegged in properly more than I cared about perfect paint.

 

Okay so I retract my previous statement. After seeing your reply I decided to give a go at applying them. They are FAR better than those from Prime Wars and are far less shiny once applied than they appear on the sheet. I didn’t apply all of them but am thrilled with the ones I did.

 

Absolutely love this guy, but boy do I hate stickers. Always have, always will. It doesn't help that the central headcrest and the belt buckle are on potential scrape points depending on individual figure tolerances. The belt buckle clears fine for me, but the headcrest one gets scraped whenever I transform him. The belt stickers don't have a lot of surface area either, so getting the weak adhesive to stick to the figure there feels like a bit of a crapshoot. And then on top of that, the forearm stickers are only half the length they need to be... But once he's all stickered up, boy does he look good. I do kind of wish the mold had a pretool for a Marvel-accurate crown that doesn't go on the purple unpaintable plastic sprue like the regular crown does.

 

Loving this guy. Has anyone seen any G1 toy styled replacement heads for him? It's the only thing I need to complete my nostalgia trip (the toy head design is VERY different).

 

Ditto, I absolutely love this figure and a toy style head would make him perfect.

I still haven’t put the stickers on mine. They look great but I am waiting to see what ToyHax comes up with. They do look just fine though.

 

Here's a quick mockup. I had to pull apart Galvatron's left shoulder assembly to get Ultra Magnus' leg in there close enough. Also: trying to make this photo work made me realize just how mis-drawn UM's shoulder pilons are in the art, they're attached to his back! Lol.

 

I never noticed that! I mean, talk about a hyper-stylized image! good job tho!

 

Got mine today. Except for the shoulders my Kingdom Galvatron is a better figure regarding joints. While the joints are overall very tight, they are too tight, but then the right side of the figure is too loose. So when you move the right arm the complete right side unclips itself, because it barely stays locked. But he's ending up as custom fodder anyway. I gave the barrel to my Kingdom Galvatron  

And whoah, he's much grayer than I anticipated and the shoulders a much darker red. I always thought in pictures he's basically white with neon red shoulders. But it's a deep red and very gray. Darker than cartoon Megatron grey.

 

Got him. Love him. Probably my favourite of the three. Colour scheme is great (although if an option to replace the crest arises, I'm there). The stickers aren't for me but a good option to have especially for the homage and there's enough going on with paint and plastic to not feel shortchanged on the deco front (buckle notwithstanding) should you swerve using them.



I did add the KFC KP-13 hands, ZX feet and repainted the eyes as my go to colour for them is Marvel yellow. He probably doesn't need the foot attachments. Stupidly didn't use the add on kit gun here.

 

I put all of the stickers on and instantly regretted it. Some of them look really great, but some look pretty bad once applied. The red stickers on his chest are especially janky since they lay over sculpted details. It was a fun experiment though, and easily reversed.

*update*
I removed all of the red chest stickers and the silver head crest stickers. They peeled off very easily and left no residue behind. Just thought I’d share that in case anyone was wondering what cleanup would be like.

 

I got mine as a Christmas present from my parents - I absolutely love him! The official pictures do not do him justice! I prefer his cannon mode over the original Kingdom release, do not really know why. I plan to display the Kingdom version in robot mode, the Selects one in canon mode alongside SS86 Scourge (robot) and Sweep (vehicle) as well as Kingdom Cyclonus (robot) and the Armada one (vehicle; I hope they go for a more G1toy deco as well).

WOW! That looks amazing! Do the KFC hands really match his base plastic that well?

 

They're not 100% colour matching but it's close enough not to be any issue.
