From the realms of Lost Light lore, here's an upgraded and beefier Maximus Ambus armour upgrade set for Combiner Wars Ultra Magnus! Must have been one of Brainstorm's prouder moments Here's a closer look at the part which fit right on Ultra Magnus. The verdict by Magnus - Tasty! A multitude of barrels strewn around the armour provide spots for effect parts to be added for, well, effect. There should be enough ports to have a lot of fun with, posing and display this big boy. Perhaps a Gundam inspired heavy arms look is on the table. Maximum ..... ... Firepower! As a homage to the Galaxy Force/Cybertron days of past, the forearm piece comes with a slot for a CyberKey if you have one handy! Plug it in, and power it up! A further tip of the hat to the Armada days can be found on the shoulder pylons where minicon attachment points have been provided, alongside more modern 3mm pegs for effect parts. For his alt mode, these addon parts can mostly be attached on various parts of his trailer. The mounted canons can be rotated upwards or downwards as needed, depending on where the decepticreeps are located. And then ... looks great and you knocked it out of the park. i do feel like the shoulder pouldrons are a little too tall. but what ya gonna do it is kind of all over the place with the source material. if i had the fig i would be all over this but for now i will admire from here. this is great work and i hope everyone jumps all over this. this is how the hobby should progress.
Thank you much! And yes, the pylons may be a little tall but they are somewhat limited by the fact that the original parts had to go inside them. Having said that, they could be set aside and just have the original shoulder bits there too. i didn't realize the original fig had pylons that big. i just forgot about them and the bot honestly. now after watching your vid it kind of makes me want one now and i really dont care for main line figs. but you work is just that good.

This is awesome! On a related note, I'm still salty Hasbro didn't make a Voyger Magnus Combiner Torso who's combiner mode would be based on Maximus Ambus... the Combiner could either be called Maximus Ambus or, for the benefit of those not so familiar with Lost Light Lore, Ultra Maximus! Not sure who the limbs would be, probably people from the Lost Light ^^ they could even have had an alternate box set version with all the limbs in Magnus colours to further unify the theme!
