Nothing like fresh Masterpiece tears. It would be nice if he actually got moved up to late May versus June, I'm itching to see a transformation video. I'm actually impressed they took a toothpick train and got a fairly accurate Hot Rod sized bot.
I still think he looks great, but I swear this has to be the only official combiner in history that goes out of its way not to show us more of the combined mode in any of its marketing. (And yes I've seen the silhouette which I will still call a silhouette because we can't see any high quality detail or features beyond the legs and feet. That doesn't count.)
It's obvious they have some sort of combined prototype/ test shot, but I wonder how close to "done" that silhouette is. They don't do renders like most 3P and the days of lineart were over as quick as they began.I wonder if the silhouette was intended to be a placeholder, showing the trains combined while they finalize details. Even lightened, Raiden face looks like a Block prototype versus something finalized. The legs look the closest to be done, if Wonderfest holds we should see them and possibly Raiden. Which is probably my biggest question, what the blaster kibble actually looks like without modified photos and a sense of perspective. In the lightened photos they look almost as big as the front of the feet.
If this is the case, i hope they seriosly reconsider the feet outgrowth in something more unobtrusive
