Eh, it's not ideal, but I can live with it. The figures look good and are fun, and that's what's really important to me.

That is a lady, sir. (Exactly "2.7 times a lady," for other MSTies keeping score...) :)
And yes, Mystery Science Theater 3000 is the show.

Man, everyone’s out here getting Tigatron, and I still haven’t found Galvatron. It’s like every toy gets old before it’s even in your hands! That said, every release brings me closer to my beloved Pipes. My sweet, beautiful blue truck man. I’m excited to handle the mould for the first time. People seemed to love Huffer, and I skipped him. And… those three figures are the last ones I need from WFC. It’s kind of scary to think about.

I don't mind the slightly off scale, but I can't wait for Legacy Tarantulas and Inferno to add some bigger bods to the mix, as is the Kingdom Preds kinda remind me of Thanos and his children:D

Completing the core Maximal cast has triggered a new admiration for the Kingdom Beasties, even the freaky as hell fossilizers (which we totally need more of, come on Hasbro;) ).

    Hah! Got it!
    PXL_20211201_042353775.jpg

    How, you might ask?

I cut this little notch on the trailer and used the the leg and shoulder armor from Siege and the rest is Kingdom and BAM!

    PXL_20211201_042329426.jpg

    And here's robot mode.

Color match is off, but it's very passable.

Yeah, I’m in the process of doing another “Tales from Siege”. Just trying to plan the story at the moment.

Bit of fun with some Daiclone and SkyFire colored fellas hanging out with Kingdom bois and SS Dinobots. :D

So, this DNA kit coming out for Galvatron…. Looks way nice but I wonder if it wouldn’t make him too tall compared to Cyclonus…

Galvatron is already too tall next to Cyclonus from the factory (because Galvatron is a bit too tall and Cyclonus and Ultra Magnus are a bit too short) and, those extensions ruin the accurate proportions of the thighs compared to the lower leg and the length of the entire lower leg compared to the distance from the top of the crown to the end of the crotch. Those extensions will push Galvatron into towering even further over a lot of things that it shouldn't (e.g. Cyclonus).

While you’re in every way correct that Galvatron is already taller than Cyclonus, and I agree with your opinion that Magnus is too short out of the package, I believe that proportions are rather subjective. Always have been and always will be when it comes to transformers.
Small short thighs with longer thicker shin sections are basically a staple of super robot proportions going waaaay back, even to the original Optimus toy (and many robot predecessors).
So that kind of proportion can be an improvement more often than not, in my opinion. (Key word there is can …)

    612C2693-48A6-41AC-800A-21915609A2B9.jpeg

I don’t mind fudging Cyclonus’s knees to add some height, and feel it makes him look better anyway. It also puts him at juuuust about the right height for Galvatron I think. But if Galvatron had those longer legs from this kit, it seems you and I both agree it’s far too egregious a difference, in this case.
Magnus gets away with the extensions because he’s supposed to be huge and towering compared to others around him. But I guess that’s my originally question in the post above:
Does it make Galvatron a bit TOO towering for his troops?
Seems you and I are thinking yes…

but I think it makes him look kind of cooler as a stand alone figure.
But like I said, it’s all a bit subjective. :)
Glad to have other’s thoughts, though. :D

Well I've held off from picking this dude up for long enough but so glad I finally did. Cyclonus was one of the few Decepticons I had as a child so this modern update means a lot to me, thank you Hasbro for doing him justice 20211201_144848.jpg 20211201_144905.jpg 20211201_145009.jpg
