Well the Headmasters for a start, A lot of the POTP Legends class figures have gaps in them. Some of them are lacking for weapons.
sure some of it got some addressing - but considering they tend to keep revisitng those moulds it just crossed my mind that there is some potential there for some more love.

The hands, faces, and Matrix holder are interesting in that DNA Kingdom Galvatron kit but that will be an easy pass as the hands aren't a must have and someone else will do a Matrix holder. Ultimately, I feel like the Earthrise Scorponok kits (specifically the first two) set a bar that DNA hasn't been able to match.

Exactly, it's already a bit too tall (most of that is because Cyclonus and Ultra Magnus are both too short). The length of the thighs is already proportional to the length of the lower legs (as well as the length of the entire leg compared to the distance from the top of the crown to the end of the crotch) and the extenders ruin that since it's borderline CR stilts pants Magnus. It feels like they were trying to lengthen the alt mode to push the heel spurs further back but, there is so much room in the existing factory parts to design a more show accurate kickstand that doesn't change the functionality of anything else in the process. I honestly can't figure out what the intent was but, it hurts both modes.

Yea, I think I'm just going to stick with transforming the backpack incorrectly for some additional spire height in robot mode. At least until someone makes something that collapses/telescopes/etc. so that it's not massive in the alt mode. Ultimately, I think it's going to turn out to be a situation where Hasbro/TakaraTomy made the correct compromise

Less leg wouldn't have gone amiss.

This rumor is the whole reason why I haven’t gotten the feet for Earthrise Ironhide.

I feel like the feet will probably be the next kit. Lol.

Upgrades? Perhaps completely new figures would be best for some of them

Tbh I'm struggling to think of anything substantial outside of more accurate weapons (looking at you, overused Blurr guns)
Maybe godmaster engine prime cores for Darkwing and Dreadwing?

The Elita/Starscream mold could use a new chest plate to swap front/back (there's a nice Shapeways kit that gets most of the way there) and a combiner-sized weapon or two.

Maybe 3P companies were right to shy away, but I always thought some Prime/Titanmaster scaled weapons emplacement kits would have been cool for the various base modes for PotP leaders and the Titan bases we've gotten.

At this point, I don't exactly see much demand to go back to Prime Wars, especially since Hasbro is apparently gonna actively try to redo the Combiner teams.

(What I am continually curious about is why we never got KO CW Stunticons at scale with the retail versions - beyond "the molds were not good and nobody liked them" that ain't the point. I could use some more cheap Stunticon limbs.)

The only ones I could see getting upgrades along the lines of what we've been seeing for the past few years are the Headmasters that got rereleased under the Retro Headmasters line, since them getting a rerelease/reissue would suggest to me that they're supposed to be our WFC/Legacy versions of those characters.

I remain surprised that virtually none of the 3P companies ever opted to use CW-style linkages for their own combiners. That's a really good system -- way better that the ones used by their Energon "Maximus" predecessors, which was used by lots of 3P combiners.

I'm especially surprised no 3P company ever made a CW-compatible Scourge/Sweeps limb-bot. Given the existence of Galvatronus, I should think making a toy that collectors would eagerly buy four copies of would be an clear opportunity.

It’s the same concept but not the same design.

Agreed. The knockoff is probably gonna be of inferior quality; the authentic one is superb. Expensive because it ships from Australia but I'm very happy with it.

I own an original (fantastic by the way), and this is a rip off. The line work on it is even the same

IIRC she sold the kit but gave away the 3d files, so this is probably not technically a knockoff. Doesn’t make it any more ethical IMO, though.

Ok I was basing my comment on the fact the pics on the Etsy link greboguru posted didn’t look anything like the ebay one. He must have posted the wrong seller.

D'oh! You're right! My bad. Here's the correct link. I'll fix it in my original post too.
