Got a second Rodimus from the Amazon sale, and it is flawless. My first copy was good, but the trailer needed work to keep it closed. This one snaps closed quite easily, so that's pretty nice.
The bot mode is also a little bit tighter, but not different enough to be considered "better", just tighter overall.

I would pick up Roddy #3 if this is a norm for Amazon/Latest batch.

The character always kinda annoyed me on the original show. Never had any interest to own the toy back in the 90s because of that reason. I don’t know what it is about this Kingdom line that’s making all these beast formers so irresistible, but I gotta say…..

…..I am a fan of Waspinator. My tastes have obviously changed and/or refined over the years.

I’ve become intrigued by the more eccentric figures with certain quirks about their design, the most obvious for Waspinator being his bug legs. That’s the main thing that I was concerned about in regards to my enjoyment of this figure. They’re not nearly as dynamic as Blackarachnia’s legs, not even one hinge on them to bring them closer to the body. It took me a bit of getting the feel of the figure before I found my sweet spot.

The bug legs on his robot arms (weird way to start a sentence), I keep turned downward. It doesn’t poke me in the hand now and allows to better articulate the arms because now they’re easier to maneuver and they’re not jamming up his wing articulation.
The other set of bug legs were the tricky ones. It helps that all the bug legs are detented. One thoop forward for the bottom legs helps keep them out of the way while giving him a nice dynamic silhouette IMO. I like to keep the antennae on his chest turned upwards in bot mode. I just think it looks cool.
He’s got an amazing headsculpt too. The eyes, mandibles, antennae, and jawline are all nicely detailed. They did not cheap out on the headsculpt.

Wasp mode is a winner IMO. Everything compacts quite nicely and isn’t as fiddly as Blackarachnia’s transformation. I love the colors on Waspinator. The purple used for the bug eyes and wings is very lush. Lends nicely to the semi-transparency of the wings. I never had the T30 figure, but have seen pictures. I gotta say, I definitely prefer the more vibrant look of the Kingdom Waspinator.

Giving credit where credit is due, Waspinator is a badass figure. More so than what his character portrayed in the show. On some level that seems unfair, but I guess that’s Waspinator’s lot in life. Oh well, at least he’s got one good thing going for him.

I can't get over how stupid the whole concept of Beast Wars Grimlock is. Like leave aside bigger arguments, like "how many G1 guys should still be running around the Beast Era" or "the stasis pods were not full of babies, they exclusively held people who have personally met Optimus Prime." Just the fact that his existence makes the premise of Beast Wars, "A group of research scientists are conscripted by circumstance to fight in a war they never asked for and are ill-prepared to meet head-on. Also their ship was carrying one of the greatest military tacticians and combat warriors in their planet's history. This latter fact never comes up."

To be fair, their ship was also carrying one of Cybertron's most notorious and indestructible serial killers (Protoform X), Grimlock may have been an insurance policy incase X somehow got loose.

This would make sense if, when Protoform X did indeed get loose, they said "oh shit we better redouble our (obviously already active, why would we not be doing this) efforts to find Grimlock!" instead of "aw geez better keep depending on our ability to rise to the fate demanded of us."
