Well... Badcube made a set of transparent figures using their regular colors. But, New Age has the closest you'll find to a "reformatting" purple scheme. Albeit New Age sized and not masterpiece.

What’s your thoughts on using the screw covers? Mine are here on my desk in the baggie still and I’m curious if others are saving them or if they improve things once installed

 

Not sure I've ever seen a Unicron on display without the screw covers. It improves his looks immensely because otherwise, the screws on his left side are in plain sight and the asymmetry of them calls extra attention to them.

I immediately put the screw covers on after getting it transformed. It takes a little bit of time but it's incredibly simple and it does improve the overall look.

Not much to explain. Just small bits of molded plastic that you snip off a runner to plug obvious screw holes.

As a budget-saving measure, Unicron's horns and arms were tooled once, and then cast twice, instead of the more standard process of creating separate mirrored parts. But that means that when swapping the parts from left to right, screw holes that could be hidden on the back of the limb on one side would be up-front eyesores on the other. So they provided the plastic plugs to hide most of the exposed screws in his arms and horns.
