The very inner antenna spines are completely uncut/not carved out properly. Is this normal for the new Version 3 Leafage BA heads??

 

Not sure, but it could be to prevent breakage. My MPM4 head has had those break twice.

 

in an attempt to mostly spare the head from being replaced just yet, i decided to modify the eye "lashes" just to make him look less- asian so to speak
though in the second pic, it's very much clear that some of the parts were intentionally broken off to shoulder in some preferences and those that are alike, i know that might throw some people off, but in all fairness, restrictive design choices can either be modified, or be simply removed for a more better feeling experience, with the expense of removing key details that can likely tilt someone off-

 

admittedly not the best result, but it compensates my literal desire to get the Leafage head already- since the pudgy and disproportionate head is already throwing me off for long enough-

So is the consensus that the Leafage head is the best? And does it stop transformation and is it still in stock anywhere?

 

Many of us have the Leafage v1-3.
I don’t see as many of the WMWs, but they are around too.
As far as I know v2 & 3 are too big for transformation, but they are ball jointed so it makes removal easier than the stock head. Additionally they have LED eyes.
There is a Leafage v4 being developed now that is supposedly small enough for transformation and will fit in the chest cavity.

I have V3 and while it looks great on BA Prime, I'm convinced they V2 is the best one, as I think that it's the perfect size.
While I think that V3 looks perfect looking at straight on, I feel like it's just a little too big looking at it Grim the side.

I think that it's awesome that V4 allows for BA Prime to transform without popping it off, but it's just too small.

 

When will v4 be available?

 

The information was via dino_model_shop on Instagram and they said end of the month in October. I got my head through them before , Capcomkai and they deal almost exclusively through Instagram and Facebook. Shoot them a DM to inquire.

Figured I'd add this to the Thread as I haven't seen it posted here but, Vinh Lee on Instagram has made a new DOTM upgrade





There's also a new version of the WMW head coming! Should be released later next month from what I know, not sure what is the difference between this and V3. It is casted thankfully.

My chest piece from Vinh is on its way so I'll be sure to write a review here. Also, the V4 head you mentioned seems to have a removable mouth plate instead of having to remove the face and replace it.

 

Would love you to do it! Especially since you had the other DOTM kit, I'd love to hear how they compare, altho i'm worried it won't work with the chest mod I use.
And interesting! Didn't notice that, I'll more than likely pic that head up so I'll make sure to review it here for anyone interested.

 

The WMW head has always had a removable mouth plate. The Leafage uses the face swap.

 

Oh I see. I thought this was leafage V4 for whatever reason. Or maybe they're both making a V4?

Hey everyone!

For those that have Leafage V2 for their BA Prime, would you mind posting some pics of it? I'm trying to decide on whether or not to pull the trigger on it.

I currently have V3, and feel like it's a little too big, but DMS sent me some pics, and now I'm questioning if V2 is too small.

Just posting to show off the awesome dotm chest piece that I got from @VinhLee on instagram. It's all one solid piece and it fits in really nicely and securely unlike the previous kit which was three separate pieces that barely stayed on and they didn't even look very good. This one is very nice!

I got it unpainted because I like painting my own stuff and also it's cheaper for me. I used krylon bright silver spray, then a coat of tamiya gunmetal then a bit of silver on top. Then a red gundam marker for the autobot symbol and an alcohol inkwash.
