This is fairly apt, as they're much fiddlier than the average kit, and PGs also have the similarity of being prohibitively expensive and out of scale with everything else you own. HGs, on the other hand, cover a wider variety of suits. You'll never see a Master Grade R-GyaGya or a Perfect Grade Try Burning Gundam. I would say that for accuracy to the shows, HG and MG are going to be more be most serviceable. Though that only matters to maybe 10% of the people who build Gunpla in the US (I don't recall which show the Crossbone came from, and I'm pretty sure it's on the box). RG adds even more detail than what you see in the lineart, giving it a "realistic" effect, as though it was for a live action remake. So like, Alternators, if we beat this metaphor to death. These are both 1/144 scale. Keep in mind that the Burning Gundam and the Crossbone are from different shows, so the suits themselves are different sizes. I personally think I'm going to stick with HGs going forward, as I like doing a bit of painting and panel lining the Crossbone would drive me insane. Full Mechanics remain my favorite grade of kit, because you get the size of MG with the complexity (and affordability) of HG.
These are all the parts that come with the 1/144 HGUC "Revive" RX-78-2, which is the one you see on Target shelves. http://dalong.net/reviews/hg/h191/p/h191_runner.jpg These are all the parts that come with the 1/144 Real Grade RX-78-2 http://dalong.net/reviews/rg/rg01/p/rg01_runner.jpg And this is a comparison between the (panel lined) 1/144 HGUC RX-78-2 V.30th and the RG RX-78-2 http://dalong.net/reviews/rg/rg01/p/rg01_150.jpg Ultimately, the increase in build complexity and parts count boil down to the appearance (HGs tend to be more animation accurate and simplified in detail, RGs are literally meant to be "this suit if it was made in real life" and so have opening cockpits, hatches, working pistons, shifting armor panels when you move joints, etc.). Oh you sweet summer child... Crossbone doesn't actually have a show, I think it's from the Manga; Crossbone Steel 7.
Had to make a target run this morning and finally saw hgbl kits. Someone was picked up almost a whole set but he left perfect strike freedom or whatever it’s called. Also picked up a gframe fb. Oh yeah I got hitched last night. That’s right your boy Dirty took parking lot picks the day after his wedding.
Actually much, much earlier than that. Crossbone Gundam is IIRC the longest running single Gundam manga. It's original series is from 1994 to 1997. Skull Heart ran from 2004-2006 and was a series of side stories that take place before and after the events of the original manga. Steel 7 runs from 2006-2007 and is a sequel to the events of Crossbone and Skull Heart. Crossbone Gundam Dust takes place in UC 153 and ties into the events of Victory Gundam and runs from 2011 to 2016. It ALSO gets a sequel called Crossbone Gundam Ghost, which takes the UC storyline into it's furthest canonical state right now at UC 169. It ran from 2016 to 2020. A sequel to Ghost is already started May of 2021 and is said to be the last series starring Tobia Arronax, the pilot of the namesake Crossbone Gundam since the first manga in 1994. This mother fucker has piloted one of the coolest Gundams since the UC 130s.
Where the hell are the 30mm sisters The shop I regularly go to has these but not the girls themselves, really annoys me
tell me about it! how the heck i managed to get the accesories but not the girl herself when i actually preordered her damnit!
How the hell are you this good? Seriously your finished kits look better than Bandai's own promo models. The airbrushing is subtle, the decals are clean, the colours are vibrant and consistent.
Thanks man! I don't think I'm that good Dudes scratch building those huge dioramas and weathering kits are good Thanks! I think photography is harder than building gunpla Everything from aperture to shutter speed to focal lengths, its convoluted AF to me. I'm still fighting with my lighting and I am not happy with it but still trying to improve with every kit take pics of.
Well, I put in a huge order of older 30MM kits on Amazon JP… My fucking bank account marked it as fraudulent, and locked my card. When I went by today they got confused, told me “there was only on Amazon website” and not to buy from fake website overseas. This isn’t the first fucking time my bank has done this for Amazon JP, and I’m fucking tired of it. They had some kits for ¥800 on there, now I have to buy them off of eBay for $40. Fuck my bank.
How fucking stupid can they get? "There's only one Amazon." If that were true I wouldn't have to deal with Amazon.ca's bullshit. Wait, so even after you went down there they still didn't approve the payment?
What makes it worse is that even when I get them to understand there is an Amazon Japan, they always immediately say “well just use the US version”, and then I have to try and explain that the market selection on both is different, without telling them what is was specifically I was about to buy. Because #1 rule about this shit, if they know your upset over not being able to buy a “toy” they immediately stop giving a shit. It really pisses me off because it’s my money. I worked hard to earn it, I should be able to spend it wherever I please without them telling me yes or no. And incase anyone wants to say “It’s just to protect your from fraudulent charges. I have had people steal money from my account before, and those were not stopped. They cleared my card, but when went to fix my payment options at Amazon JP, it was still getting denied. I just canceled my order on JP and am unsure what I am doing to do now because some of those kits aren’t even on ebay, or if they are, it’s for $35-50, instead of ¥800.
That's the kind of shit that makes me switch banks. How can anyone be that dense in this day and age? You could try HLJ. They don't have everything in stock but if you order they'll fill it when more arrive. (you don't pay until it's in stock) I actually just got a 30MM kit in my PW like an hour ago.
So I got the Gundam Universe Char's Zaku. It's not bad per se, but there is a design flaw in that the shoulder armor impedes the articulation.
For whatever reason, I thought I looked at there stock last week and they didn’t have anything, but looking now I see some thing thats were in my other order instock and for normal prices. I have an account with them, but I never ordered anything. Whats their shipping rates and speed like?
