This Wreckers book is starting to feel like a toy preview- not necessarily a bad thing.

It's pretty funny seeing a crane of all things in a race like that. It looks like the Velocitron subline is 100% confirmed. Hauler should be cool.

I'm starting to wonder if we'll see Thunderclash from the Bulkhead mold. That could work.

Override looks interesting. She must be a heavy retool of Hot Rod for that to work.

I'm wondering about all the random bikes we see here, can anyone identify them?

Also is that Minicon Mirage I see?

Oh good, Knockout does have his white striping after all.
I don't think Bulkhead would work for the robot mode. It wouldn't be my top choice for him, but a lot of the speculation for Thunderclash seems to be that he'd be made from Motormaster.

IIRC the leakers said that the artists just based Override on her Cybertron toy because her new design isn't finalized yet.

It’s definitely a toy preview at this point, a majority of the designs are based off existing or coming soon figures. But in a way, that gives this it’s charm.

    Yeah.
But I'm most talking about these two.

And now you can add Knockout and Hauler into the mix.

The reason I asked is so many people are crying to get an Earth mode Hound.....he is an earth mode already.

But yeah def earth modes aside from the 6 wheels on Dragstrip.

    They are real cars.

No, its just a cheap cash grab by using a fan favorite team name.

If IDW was currently a competent comic book publisher, you would be correct. But that was years ago. The IDW of today just isn't capable of producing quality comic books. There are some that aren't so bad, but we've had to lower our expectations and standards to enjoy their current offerings. Much like we had to with Hollywood, Disney and Netflix.

The snarky comment under his answer.

I could have taken it wrong but it seemed facetious to me.

I'm hoping Knockout is stylized here to look more futuristic because I'm not a big fan of that weird front grill design, or the overall lack of curves.

Forgive me if I'm slow, but is that a Crumplezone cameo next to Ricochet in the bottom panel of the first page?

You did take it wrong. He was being snarky, but it wasn't directed at you, but at the comic artists who were forced to draw the character to match his upcoming toy.

It's one of the many "existing toys in new color schemes" this artist uses for background characters

Is there a reason yet as to why they are called "The Wreckers"? Or is it just pandering?

Honestly, my belief is it\'s named Wreckers because it pulls from the whole original idea of them being primarily made up of the dudes who were getting toys but not a fictional spotlight in other mediums, risking their lives on dangerous missions, and dealing with a Mayhem Attack Squad. And the book has its charm for that, a lot more charm than I\'m finding in the mainline, plus an entertaining enough story and character moments. It doesn\'t NEED to be Impactor and the gang to be a fun idea of what they could be, much like how Prime used Bulkhead, Wheeljack, and Ultra Magnus for example.
