Bulkhead new head redeco as Big Red. I mean c'mon guys, why wouldn't they give us such an iconic character?

Don't forget about the Mayhem Attack Squad, since that group's first 2 lineups bring up over 8 Decepticon favorite's that are overdue a 1st time CHUG figure and would all fit well in this Legacy line even if they weren't apart of the "MAS" group...
    1. Bludgeon (Voyager)
    2. Needlenose (DLX)
    3. Carnivac (Voyager)
    4. Chopshop (a pending new Shrapnel repaint)
    5. Octopunch (Either DLX or Voyager)
    6. Ruckus (DLX)
    7. Stranglehold (DLX)
    8. Venom (DLX Insecticon)
.....And that's only some of who were part of the Wreckers 1st arch nemesis team that would reignite the spark in my future collection plans.

Now how many of these characters would any of you like to be part of Wave 4 of Legacy if they'll release the wave in DEC/JAN or 2022-23 or even have their own subline..?

I highly doubt they'd put a Hot Rod/Rodimus in a Wreckers sublime before they'd put Springer proper in, but I would love to see it personally.

I don't mind if they're the TR versions re-released or re-releases with the Takara decos; the Headmaster feature didn't bother me. But if they're going to de-Headmaster them, Hasbro has to do proper fold-in head and not the lazy tweak they did de-Headmaster-ing Mindwipe into Draculus. That was terrible.

If they're released in their Salt-Z decos, I'll sell off my TR Topspin since I could never find Twin Twist for a reasonable price.

I'd buy yet another Thr30 Springer, as I prefer it over Siege Springer. It's moot though, as he's out of scale with the current smaller voyager sizes, and Hasbro will want to recoup their costs off the Siege Springer mold with at least one redeco.

    Edit:
Stick him in a Selects 2-pack with a Legacy version of Red Five from the Cyberverse cartoon.

Honestly, I’d love a new Optimus. More along the lines of the new Rodimus, bulk-wise, and less leggy. I’d also like a better matching Megatron but we all know that’s never happening now thanks to his alt-mode.

If the Bulkhead repaint/retool isn’t Pyro I’ll eat one of my Sharkticons, THAT’S how confident I am. It’s an absolute no-brainer. All he really needs is a new head, a fold-out chestplate and his rear canopy to be smooth instead of fake canvas. The rest is just paint

I really hope the Jumpstarters are new colors like Saltman-Z. If they’re just the originals, I won’t buy as I have the legends already. I love the TR versions.

I don’t get the hate when characters have gimmicks that they didn’t have before. I remember when Powermaster Optimus Prime and the Classic Pretenders came out, it was a cool idea to have new tales on old characters. Now the toys didn’t always come out as good, but that’s not the concept’s fault, that’s the toy. Fiction wise, it was cool (at least until they started ignoring the updates).

Basically, Optimus Prime wasn’t a Powermaster… Until he was.

Starscream, Bumblebee, Jazz, and Grimlock weren’t Pretenders… until they were.

To me, the same applies here.. The Jumpstarters weren’t Headmasters… until they were.

I love my TR figures and it’s unlikely I’ll be replacing any of them with new figures.

For me personally, I have no problem if a gimmick is introduced to a character that's never had it before if that character already has other good figures to choose from. Those characters in your first two examples, are more popular characters that will get made again, so if you don't like them with one gimmick, chances are that you'll be able to get them at a later time, like I did when Studio series Kup, Hotrod, Grimlock, Jazz, etc came out, after years of those characters having gimmicks I didn't like, so I waited in hopes of liking the next iterations of them.

With the Jumpstarters however, just like the Monsterbots and Decepticon Targetmasters, they AREN'T likely to have new toys of them made anytime soon, so I'd much prefer them to be more accurate than not, because who knows if they'll ever be made ever again...

I'm pushing 50, and probably won't be collecting after the next couple of years, so I'd prefer not passing on characters I want if I can help it. :lol

But hey, it is what it is, and if less accurate than I'd prefer get released, I'll just voice my disappointment on it and move onto the next characters, as I've got wayyyyyy too many other things in my life to worry about over a figure not being exactly how I want it to be. :)

That is a good point, but I think it's because there hasn't really been gimmicks like those since G1. Like if it were a new type of "-master" or whatever, then sure, go for it. I also think it's because if we're supposed to be getting the "definitive" versions of these characters, we'd like them, if possible, to have the same gimmicks they had originally, if they had any.

At least that's my personally philosophy on it; while I am getting rid of a LOT of my pre-WFC/SS stuff, funnily enough I am keeping my Optimus Maximus combiner, despite none of those characters being combiners normally. But also, I have these characters in WFC. If they do the Jumpstarters, I'd like them to be non-Headmasters, personally. Even if it is their TR toys but with the gimmick removed.

How many people would actually get upset if they redecoed Roadbuster from a mainline Bulkhead though? Personally I'd be dissapointed if they did Springer into Drift since I just returned the Siege version in the hopes of just getting this one without the chestplate battle damage

Drift from Springer would be more understandable since there are similarities in their designs.

Roadbuster from Bulkhead though, not so much. Roadbuster is the kind of figure that really needs his own mould due that its vehicle mode is very unique.

Thanks for the response. That makes sense. I’m also pushing 50 but that will have no impact on my collecting. I’ll keep getting them until they don’t bring joy to me anymore.

Well, it's not really my age that'll stop me from collecting anymore, it's the fact that prices keep on creeping up, and while I can afford it no problem, I just don't think the value is there anymore. I'm holding out a couple more years to fill out my most wanteds, and after that will probably just pick up something here or there.

You're right, although I think the engineering and parts could be there if they ever decided to do Roadbuster from Bulkhead, especially comparing the legs and feet between the Generations versions

I'm probably the biggest Needlenose proponent on here- but I'm also a Marvel UK expert, so I'm conflicted here: Needlenose was not part of the first Mayhem Attack Squad. Nor Ruckus or the Pretenders.

    (Ssshhhh... don't tell Hasbro)

WFC style Roadbuster and Whirl were both twinkles in my eye not lone ago. Not totally necessary, but man would that be really cool. A dedicated Broadside would be awesome as well.

By first team I was referring to the Wreckers first arch enemies while Squadron X were their 2nd nemesis I believe. According to TFwiki Carnivac was the leader of the 1st Mayhem lineup (which actually was a Pretender along with Catilla). But you're right about Ruckus. He wasn't even part of any faction in the UK Marvel TF comics. But he doesn't look cool in the later comics.

Now Squadron X to me are to The Wreckers kind of what "The Nasty Boys" are to X-Factor. And although I suppose that The Predators are the main adversaries of the Turbo Masters, they clearly have been a cool threat to the Wreckers as well. So maybe if Hasbro ever focuses on both these factions it would make for more great World building IMO since it gives a few characters of G1 Season's 1-3 a break while still expanding.

That Draculus de-headmaster was straight foolishness. Leaving the head exposed and smelling farts.... that was rushed, they should have retooled Airrazor and later used it for Bat Primal.

Count me in if the Springer redeco is actually Guido G1 Drift and not just Springer. Aside from that, the only ones I want are the Fossilizers.

Especially since they could have kept the headmaster as actual Dracula and retooled the cavity in his chest to look like a coffin. That would have been clever

And that's why they didn't do it.
