At this point I just hope the Jumpstarters are not the TR moulds once again. Non-Headmasters turning into Headmasters is not the only issue with them, the moulds are just dated at this point, lacking the kind of complexity you expect from current figures (although they were pretty good for their time).

Is not like I ask for brand new moulds, remoulds from current figures that are fitting for the characters would be fine.

When I first stumbled upon the lineup in Amazon’s system. There was something different than all the other insiders were saying, so I didn’t believe the lineups legitimacy. But after finding something out, I put 2 and 2 together. Y’all will have to wait for more public listings. Sorry.

Thanks for the info. I’m hoping we get something more since I’m not really into this lineup. At this point I’m really only looking for Diaclone decos, Earth Hound, a few other G1 season 1 and 2 boys, and some seeker repainted. So unless the Bulkhead and Springer uses are cool I might sit this out. Thanks though and happy Thanksgiving!

 

Interested in how this line turns out. I really hope we get some out there colours. I do hope the retro jump starter rumours are true though for the people holding out hope for a proper twintwist.

 

I'd disagree, the only thing really dated about the jumpstarter molds is that they lack ankle tilts. Other than that their articulation and build pretty well matches most WFC and forward deluxes.

 

First let me start by saying I hated the Headmaster gimmick on characters that weren't originally Headmasters, which is one of the reasons I stopped collecting when that line came out.

That being said, if the Jumpstarters are indeed going to be released in their Salt-Z colors, I'll be more tempted to pick them up, as they'll be easier to consider as new characters on my shelf. Don't get me wrong, I'd love if they neutered the Headmaster gimmick from those guys, but they would certainly be easier to buy in non-G1 colors, and the Mech Ideas versions of those two will remain on my shelf for a little longer is all.

 

If the Jumpstarters were both recolored and labeled as new characters that would be great, but that might conflict with them being the Wreckers characters.

Their alt modes rock, whatever the names and colors!

 

Please tell me the Springer redeco is just a cartoon- or toy-accurate repaint and not Drift... I wanted a new Drift but not like this... not like this.

Do you know any specifics of the Impactor redeco? I've been trying to track down the Amazon Impactor with the IDW head but if there will be another one similar to that I'll just wait.

It's not as apparent in this panel but some of the earlier views we got of Knockout definitely have the two-tone red. And I'm not worried about the rims, those will be easy to paint if the toy doesn't have them. I'm just glad it looks like he's keeping the white stripes!

I definitely thought Hauler there was Bulkhead at first and was wondering what he was doing in the race, but it looks like they just tweaked the cab details to make him look more Cybertronian (or Velocitronian?).

Not necessarily, they're basing Override on her original toy because her new design isn't finalized yet so they could be doing that with Thunderclash too. I doubt he'd be made from Bulkhead though, as much as I wouldn't want him from Motormaster personally I feel like that'd still work better.

And that quote just says 'Springer', not 'Springer redeco/retool', so hopefully it is indeed just Springer.

Edit: I never really cared much for Topspin and Twintwist, but I just looked at their TR toys and they actually look really cool, especially in the Takara Legends colors. Now I'm sad these will probably be those non-matching repaints.

 

Kinda hoping it'll be SpringerasDrift and BulkheadasRoadbuster just to see the absolute shitshow of reactions it'll get lol

 

I don't know if there was ever a doubt, but since we already know that Minerva is the Walgreens exclusive that does strengthen the validity of the Wreckers subline, since Minerva is a Wrecker in the new comics

 

I just want a Springer repaint that isn't slightly different shades of green. If all the hell breaks loose beacause of it, I wouldn't care, because in TF fandom it's a biweekly event.

 

Unlikely as this sounds I can't help but wonder if the Springer repaint is actually a Cloud Rodimus Prime homage who was originally a repaint of the T30 Springer? I mean Rodimus was part of the Wreckers at one point so it wouldn't be too out there. Also seeing more Cloud homages wouldn't be bad especially with how we can get Cloud Brawn from Legacy Bulkhead and cloud Starscream from Legacy Blitzwing.
