Uuuhhhhh numbered gigawatt at Ross

LOL It was such a clusterf- of people trying to get those when they were put up, fighting with scalpers, etc., and now they end up at a discount store... Hasbro, get it together!

 

so did ross buy up a bunch of them? did some other company buy them, fail to sell them however and resell them to ross?

 

It's been a while, but they were originally put up on Walmart's site, weren't they? And it "sold out" in like 30 seconds? So where did all these come from then...?

 

Finally got one. Shame they didn't paint it right out of the box. Took the window apart and painted the frame behind it black, painted the front air dam black and painted the black parts silver where they should be. Still need to paint the wing mirrors. Looking better now tho.

 

I got mine on clearance from Mighty Ape (New Zealand) for NZ$48 and I love him, despite the chest stopping an effective recreation of the movie poster’s “Marty checks his watch” pose.

I know I’m late but damn do I wish these would happen, even as 3P products.

 

Hes without a doubt the best of the cross over figs. was a great choice to use the sideswipe mold.

 

Who cares? They're exactly the same figure.

I wouldn't be shocked if a few of these wind up like this because scalpers gobbled most of them up, didn't find buyers on the secondary market, and cancelled/returned the PO last minute.

 

I honestly keep forgetting he's retooled from Siege Sideswipe. Completely agree

 

How'd you remove the windshield to paint the frame? Does it come off easily or did you have to remove any pins or anything trickier like that?

 

Still say Sunstreaker would have been better for a number of reasons. Now thinking about it, Sunstreaker's head would have been a good fit, add the goggles and would have evoked Doc Brown nicely.

 

Its super easy. think it was just two screws underneath the hood and then one inside his chest. I will check when I get home

 

Never been able to find sunstreaker. Here's hoping for a K.I.T.T from that mold

 

I'm taking notes for mine so if you have any other tips/tricks for painting him please let me know. Thinking some Toyhax stickers would go nicely on him too...
