I have this PO’d with BBTS. I’m willing to wait on Skids, but not Reboost, and am considering cancelling that one and ordering from a vendor who is able to ship it sooner. Who do you guys recommend? ShowZStore? The Chosen Prime?

Got mine today. Surprising much simpler in transformation compared to the other recent MPs. No ab crunch. Smaller alt mode next to XTB's, but ends up roughly the same height in botmode

 

I like all three. I would have liked to have ordered Skids if he cost less than the others, lacking the moto thing as he does. I have the Legacy on pre-order anyway, so that version will do.

I still wanted one of these. I love the red car of Reboost, but I wasn't keen on how similar his head looks to Optimus Prime, so I originally opted for Crosscut. (He had the same head, but as it's red coloured it differentiates him from Prime enough.) I have him on pre-order.

But seeing these images and part of the video... I can live with that OP head. Reboost ordered from HLJ. I'm so weak. 

Only question now... Do I cancel Crosscut, since he is basically just a recolour of Reboost? I dig silver coloured cars, and I have his bodyguard Road Rage already...but I'm supposed to be cutting down on these things. Gnnn. We'll see.

In terms of extra bits, Reboost seems the guy to opt for, if you get just one, but they're all nice.

Bio: that is kinda nuts! Arranged marriage with aliens... The Moto housing his consciousness.... I'm guessing after merging with the car and adding the trans-tech, the whole thing then became him and the Moto bit is a auxiliary scout. Or is it still effectively his brains? When he sends it scouting, does his body just become a high-tech husk?

And if his body is made from an actual earth vehicle rather than a reformatted Cybertronian body, does he lack the tough armour of the rest of his people being earth steel and alloys?

Am I overthinking this?

I really like how Takara adds backstory to these extra figures. I never knew that they made the blue/silver Bluesteak a different character to the regular Bluestreak (Streak, according to Takara) until I read the backstory*. They turned that one into a quasi mythical lone ranger type.

*With help from Google translate... I wish I could read another language.

 

I've ordered skids because cartoon but yikes reboost looks so much better. And dat motocompo.

 

For those of you who have MP-10 and Reboost, can Reboost fit in the trailer?

 

Skids is the repaint. 
I think the people thinking it's going to be a more toon Skids are going to be disappointed.

If DHL keeps to their normal pattern of the last year or so, they'll hand Skids & Reboost off to the USPS on Wednesday. I should have both by Friday/Saturday.
All my AMJ deliveries thru DHL, since the lockdown of 2020, have been finished by the USPS. Must not like (off to the left of) Central New York anymore.

Just now got my shipping notice for Reboost. Estimated Friday delivery, total price $77.01.

Or maybe Thursday delivery, based on the email I just got from DHL.

Decided to ship him from A-E even though it meant DHL because I had a couple of items I wanted to get sooner than later. And given that Japan just tightened it's travel restrictions, I imagine the mail restrictions won't be relaxing soon either.

Luckily the full shipping only ended up being like $30 CAD for the lot of it all. Here's hoping I don't get customs fees on arrival! Really happy to get him and glad that he'll blend in great with XTBs as well so that I can mix the two depending on which decos I want.

 

Let us know how that goes. I’m in Canada too. I asked AE to hold my MP53 & 54 for now because I figure the DHL cost would be pretty expensive and I’ve always been hit with customs when it’s gone through DHL. I’d be curious if it’s just been bad luck for me or they just automatically charge the customs and duties when they process it.
