I fail to see what's so premium about that Megatron. It might be the ugliest use of this mold yet and that's saying something.

I would have to see these premium toys in person. I am interested in getting a couple of them, but only if the prices are way lower.

Kind of lol also the Decepticon symbol is BIG, the only thing I really like better or think looks superior is the bottom of his feet being all black.
    Seige vs PF Megs.jpg
I think the Walmart Seige deco looks good enough for me I think that deco looks great and I took all the siege battle damage parts on him and swapped them with the regular figure (minus the cannon since it's not that bad of battle damage) and turned it into a extremely battle damage Megatron. I'm not great with painting at all really but I'm shocked with how good it went.

Also seems like both this Megs and the BBM Prime come out tomorrow over there. per their Twitter - "Released on November 27th the day after tomorrow!" (Currently Friday - 26th in Japan right now).

those finishes are awefully dotted for something that's supposed to be premium.

I couldn't handle that. Granted I don't need this piece but I don't see how people could see past that.

Wake me when they paint the Earthrise figure silver. I know it's a mediocre mold but the original release is beyond bland.

The idea with it is that while you can still see the dotted pattern in close up pictures, just having them in hand, where they all blend together, they will look a thousand times better then painted faces ever would. And there are fewer to no imperfections, because it's printed on.

But yeah. On Megatron it's just...not good.

And the ML team uses it as well (even before the Hasbro SW's team did).

Springer unfortunately is not part of the line up. They are sticking to characters that appeared in the show.
What was initially thought to be Springer was later found to actually appear to be Shockwave. The last two waves have not yet been officially revealed though.

Correct. But the spirit of the OP was not incorrect. They're trying to get as much out of this particular tooling before they retire it. If they intend to stamp out this mold of Megatron to have it on the shelf for years, at least they can offer different repaints of it.

I bought the original when it was like half off. Still in the box for now until I see fit to display or resell it. Thinking about modding it. Personally, I kick myself for missing the Super Megatron when it was offered last year.

I see what you're saying. Tarkin especially shows it but from far off it's fine. You're right about it just looking off on Megatron, especially blown up on a big bot like that.

Megs' print definitely doesn't look too hot in these new pictures.
I think the print will look better in hand though, much like the spots on Masterpiece Cheetor.

We should find out soon since he releases on the 27th (And it's the 26th in Japan as of now).

I’ve only picked up the G2 Deco and Shatter Glass version of this mold. I was hoping this would look better as I really like this deco in vehicle mode. That chest just kills it for me…

Still using my Henkei Megatron on my shelf. I really regret not getting the Netflix version that shipped with Hotlink and came with Crosshairs and a second battle master.

I guess we'll see more pics soon as this case just got released in Asia.

Agree that Megatron looks worse than the Netflix versions.

I actually like the Earthrise figure better but if they gave it some silver paint apps I'd lose my friggin mind. That would push that figure out of obscurity, I think.

Both of them suffer from bad head sculpts. I may not like either ER or S's overall proportions but I realized when I did a test head swap with RED Megatron's head that it's not the paintjob or body proportions that turns me off it's their utterly horrible heads.
