NGL, a few of my customs are inspired by Build Fighters/Divers, where I built some customs that I would use if both Gunpla Battle and GBN were a thing that exists IRL like these:

As for Build Divers, that show honestly wasn't that great with its main casts being even incredibly bland and "meh" story; its sequel Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE, however, was a massive improvement over its predecessor and unironically one of the better Gundam shows in recent years (especially in its second season), with a perfect mix of the fun hype you'd expect from one of the Gunpla-based shows, with the general grittiness and character-focused drama of the rest of the franchise; Re:RISE was such a blast to watch IMO, that it retroactively makes the original Build Divers worth sitting through because of the way it builds off of elements (and some characters) established in Build Divers in satisfying ways.

It's such an under-watched show, which is a shame because it's very good.

Go join the Gunpla Subreddit, particularly the discord channel.

Yeah, the weird thing with Divers is that literally every character other the main character himself is actually pretty interesting and all the suits having the theme of being other suits is well done...other than the main character's because the 00 Sky is a one trick pony that abuses the shit out of Trans-Am to the point some little shithead that's been playing for a month literally can fight on the same level as the game's grandmasters, which is even more of an asspull than most actual Gundam series since there you have teenagers in robots beating combat veterans because they evolved psychic powers (and I'm not kidding, most of the time these things are actually piloted by people who evolve superhuman brain powers so they can control remote weaponry and basically precognitive reaction speed). There also is a severe disconnect that's purely cultural as the moderation staff of the Divers game in the Divers series look like incompetent fools, but this is actually a thing in Japan where players act more like self-governing police than the actual game moderators.

Re:Rise, however, throws all that shit out and goes "Fuck this, we're MEGAMAN LEGENDS now, bitches." And it turned out amazing.

Build Divers Re:RISE from a critical standpoint, is a bit of a weird show.

The plot in a vacuum was bizarre and the way they've injected high-stakes drama back into the subseries that was originally a deliberately low-stakes sports anime version of Gundam might not be for everyone.

But goddamn if it doesn't put a smile on my face every time I watch it.

I think that the main appeal for me is that it's very... sincere? It's about a bunch of well-intentioned kids who are honestly trying to do good things for other people despite the problems in their own life. Unlike the original Divers, which had so many characters but didn't get any characters arc to flesh them out (outside of Ayame), RE:RISE gave each of the main casts plenty of episode time to grow up as characters, where each of them has their flaws, motivations, past, and redeeming qualities which give viewers a reason for rooting for them.

Even if they didn't stick the landing with the rest of the show, the main characters are handled with a subtle touch that makes them compelling. They're all pretty standard archetypes — the stoic loner, the one who's bad at dealing with people, the arrogant loudmouth, and the insecure kid — but they take the extra step of showing us why they're that way and it makes all the difference.

Seriously, it's a show about gunpla MMO mecha battle shenanigans, and ironically I'm more interested in the story that had these main casts spending time offline so we can see more of the characters when they're not logged in. How weird is that? But stuff like Hiroto talking with his childhood friend after he reconciles with his past, or the brief but wholesome conversation that he had with his dad about their past failures, is what really keeps me looking forward to the next episode.

    Fact:
CORE GUNDAM is the Megaman of the entire Gundam Franchise!

It's got eight Subweapon options in individual colors that are also beneficial in certain event levels and boss fights!

Idea for later: get another Core Gundam, paint it in Megaman X blue.

Is there a shop of some kind where one can get spare parts for Gunpla? My RG Sazabi arrived; and the box had seemed to have gone through downtown Los Angeles and back with how beaten to shit it was. Several parts snapped off the runners (seemingly intact) and were rattling loose inside, various runner bars themselves snapped all over the place, just ghastly. I won't know how bad the damage is till I start building but I've spotted at least one part bent and dangerously close to breaking.

Oh my god that was the loudest manga I've ever read.

    And it's a manga.

Just a specific part? I think you need to order the whole set again.

Just got word from HLJ that the MG Virtue has entered my private warehouse, so thats nice.

Getting new gundams for my backlog has been a bit slow lately. Really feeling the Gundam shortage. I had the Dynames on backorder since april, but no show yet. Some other more grunt like suits seem be very rare as well. Been whatching the restock schedules, but what gets restocks doesnt always reach out to the shops I look at. The backorder lists must be severe.

I had a similiar situation when I ordered an SD Cross silhouette Zaku and added a CS fram to go with it. You can guess what came first and what came some months later.

so.... I found a 9 year old blog post of custom builds, and in the comments there's someone's kitbash of the 00 S2 Gundams to create /The/ Celestial Being GUNDAM GUY: Gundam Combined Mecha - Custom Builds
[IMG]It's.... something.[IMG]Seravee for the legs, Seraphim for the torso, 00 for the backpack, Cheridum for the left arm, Arios for the right arm, and GN Archer and 0 Raiser for add-on equipment.[IMG]Arios being used as a stabby arm and also having 00's GN Sword II for extra stab makes me laugh[IMG]Cheridum's shield bits as fingers terrifies me[IMG]They also made this Throne centaur
    "mom can i buy barbataurus"
"no you have a cooler barbataurus at home"
the cooler barbataurus at home:[IMG]wonder if anyone's gonna attempt this with the new MG Virtue[IMG]

Since it's brand new, and you live in the continental US, you can go directly to Blue Fin.
    Returns and Replacements

Just fill out the form on the lower half of this page, show proof of purchase (receipts), the blue fin sticker on the box, and the UPC packaging code. Tell them the parts you need.

Not really Gundam related, but many talk about Medabots in this thread. Anyone who can read Japanese, can you tell me what this says?
