These are a few of my minor irritations:

    Dox/doxxing
Brill (short for brilliant…always thought it was fucking stupid…just say “brilliant”, godammit)
    Totes (short for “totally”…see “Brill”)

"Influencer" takes the cake for me.
    Along with "celebrity".

Both are born of nothing but media self-perceived importance.

Huh. I had to Google it to be sure, but growing up I was always taught that irregardless wasn't an actual word and regardless is the one you should use because it's the only one that works in any manner. According to Google it's more or less a legitimate word because it's been in use for over 200 years.

So have many other atrocities, doesn't mean they should exist. I'll be sticking with regardless and pretending the "other" doesn't exist. (Heck, even my built-in spellchecker is having a nightmare correcting me on the word because it knows it's wrong. lol)

No, irregardless was basically an incorrect form that has seen so much use that it was added as official English lexicon, because sister fucking yokels, I guess...

My list of common nonwords that have regular use but shouldn't exist:

    Irregardless
    Unthaw
    Unloosen
    Orientate
    Conversate

And to throw in some redundancies as phrases that shouldn't exist but are WIDELY used:

    The Reason Why
    ATM Machine
    PIN Number
    SSN Number
    The TAG (military specific)

Sure I'll come up with more

That's less a word that shouldn't exist, but rather is one that has been press-ganged into service without its proper support.

Based. I hate the current use of this word, almost as much as the word blursed...

Not an actual word but a derogatory term used on here: geewunner

It's just childish name calling and usually used by those that are worse than the people that they are attacking.

And I saw another member state it and I second it: "shipping" that isn't about packages being sent.

    Ostentatious.

It does not sound nice. It does not write nice. I do not like it here or there nor anywhere.
