Anyone know if MPM Barricade is Hasbro or Takara stock? All my MPM Decepticons have been Takara so far.

Wait, TFWiki says the grip on Siege UM's rifle is appallingly loose? Has anyone experienced that? Because that’s a major red flag.

 

I just purchased one earlier from the sale. A couple of people on the Movie Thread said it was pretty good and one of the better MPM figures from the movie. I figure for $50, it's worth a shot. I may have missed it, but it's not often I come across it for that price.

Not sure if this helps you or not, but my Siege UM has a good grip on his gun. Not sure how common it is and I don't recall seeing anyone else mention it (but I could have missed it.) So there's definitely a chance that the gun should fit just fine!  

It's a great figure. I like it more than the Kingdom version, but that's just me. It would be worth the $40 IMO- I had a lot of fun transforming it back and forth. Anyway, good luck!  

 

Now that you mention it, yeah he kinda does. It fits in well, and won't fall out if you turn the arm upside down, but it does flop around left and right. I think it's something to do with the slits on the sides of the handle, and the little lip where that ends keeps the gun from totally falling out.

But I don't have that problem with my Kingdom UM. Can't say for the Netflix one, he's been in truck mode for so long now, and his gun given to that Decepticon Mirage, that I don't even remember, don't care to dig him out and transform him to find out.

 

Anyone got good or bad to say about the SDCC 2007 Alternators Rodimus? I love the GT mode, but the robot mode looks a bit off-putting.

 

Pretty sure the robot is kinda mis-transformed in the pictures BBTS is using with the back pack flap hanging down like that. Try Googling some other photos or reviews on YouTube then decide, maybe some eBay prices.

$35 and Ford licensed, with 2007 "MP"/"punch-yourself-in-the-balls-rotf-transformation" engineering, voyager size... I mean, think about JP93, that's a $55 Ford licensed translucent deluxe with core class engineering at a leader class price.  

If you are Rodimus fan, yes, if not, pass. Mine's been in storage for like a decade, but I remember it being pretty badass. Most of those Alternators in car mode... you put on your desk and colleague walks buy and you told them it turns into a robot, the colleague's mind would be blown, lol.

 

That is a compelling argument haha. I'll have to look up some videos later, still having family time now. Glad to hear its mistransformed, it looks ugly in the stock photo. Im pretty tempted because in the Basics on Kissplayers video, I fell in love with that Rodimus design, but its too expensive plus Kissplayers is weird lol. I'm pretty sure its the same mold but I'll check out some reviews. Thanks!

 

Yeah man. I was on the fence too. But after seeing some youtube reviews, decided to skip it. It only looks good in car mode. But being that it's a transformer, what's the point for it just look good in car mode.

 

My copy was perfectly fine. TFWiki has a penchant for adding not-very-widespread QC issues like that to articles, even if they don't apply to a vast majority of the figures.

 

Backreading through the edit history, looks like it was a more recent addition, around mid-October.

Getting a bit back on topic, surprised that BBTS hasn't added to their Black Friday stock yet. Maybe they're saving for some sort of Cyber Monday deals.

 

This is likely not much help, but I did at one point have Mirage and I liked it. The robot mode could have used some more love, but it was still good and held up well. I could not find another Mirage that cheap so I did order Rodimus from BBTS yesterday based on my previous experience with Mirage. The only Alternator that I was not a fan of was the Optimus mold.
