Maybe those batteries are cheaper or are more common in China.

 

No way to change volume. Only options are, on, off, auto rotate, manual rotate.

Hi All, just looking for a bit of advice. Decided to order Dr Egg and was a bit disappointed when I opened to find that the painted part where the two halves of the egg meet was scratched down to the metal all the way around, assuming this has something to do with the rotation but was strange to be out of the box like that. TBH it’s not too bad when the egg is together and faces are on but if you take the halves apart it’s really obvious. Just wanted to see if that was normal and other peoples experience or whether I should contact the seller? Seems bad for $130+ figure.

i would contact the seller if that bad and out of the box... the qc has been spotty with the paint some like myself its perfect and other people not so perfect

Has anyone tried separating the clear plastic for the eyes to paint them? It looks like it's possible, but I'm paranoid about scratching the paint in the process for something that might not be possible.

 

Yeah, it was great and easy for every head except the orange eyed head. I couldn’t get his eyes out and just painted them in place. Maybe my copy was just stuck but all the rest worked great.

 

has anybody found a USB cable that sits flat or the head bends down so it can clear the faces?

 

I know you've probably looked... but have you tried searching for "90 degree USBC"? There are a few that look like they'd probably work.

I refuse to pay more than $120ish for this thing so I suppose I'll probably never get it. Looks cool though! I'm jealous of those of you that grabbed one on sale.

 

They may put it on sale again on Friday, I believe that's their usual pattern with the weeklong sales.

Dr Egg is barely worth $125. The sounds and lights are fun for 10 minutes, then you'll pull the batteries and likely never use it again.

 

It's up again right now. I grabbed one earlier this week.

As good as XTB's Dr. Egg looks on his own, the question becomes, how does the good doctor look with other masterpiece scaled figures?

I think he's a little big, but I wouldn't say Dr. Egg is abnormally large. But if he was an inch shorter, I think he'd be perfection!

Hey, an inch can be alot... especially at masterpiece scale!

As everyone on this forum knows, Dr. Egg also comes with a remote control... but again, no batteries... something to be rectified this weekend.

Overall, I really think Egg nails the part of the Quintesson Judge. X-Transbots seemed to deliver here!! But without any real moving parts or transformation issues, I guess there's not too many missteps they could make on this guy outside of aesthetic choices.

But again, I haven't put batteries in him yet.
