Credit where credit's due, those robot mode photos are the first time that Soundwave design hasn't looked ugly to me. Also that alt mode gets funnier every time I look at it

 

Guess not every Soundwave can turn into shameless product placement a sexy sports car

 

As much as I absolutely LOVE the Mercedes SLR, especially in silver with gull-wing doors, it's not a creative or well thought out alt mode for Soundwave. I agree some sort of van or spy vehicle or even something like a SWAT truck would fit better. The satellite was so innovative and cool as an idea. I think TFP's drone alt mode was really the smartest choice out of anything.

 

I agree it's not a great alt-mode for the character but I love the design so I'm okay with it. The SUV he transforms to in the DOTM game would've been pretty cool too. I hope they give him something like this in future movies:

Does anyone know if the Buzzworthy releases of Car Shatter and Car Dropkick have any differences from the mainline releases at all? I know the Barricade had "To Punish and Enslave" removed. I'm just wondering if there are any slight plastic differences or colour differences or whatever, or if they're just straight repacks

So I found a 1:32 Camaro (for $6!) and it works as a perfectly sized mpm Bee alt mode*! Too bad it's diecast or it could make a sick custom. Gotta finish my current custom first anyways...

*I have a theory that mpm Bumblebee's alt mode is out of scale with his robot mode, and scaling it down to about 1:32 would make him look way better. Coincidentally mpm Optimus, Ironhide and Ratchet are 1:32 scale too, so it would make him work better with them (in contrast to atm where everything is being OSed heaps to match the 1:28 Bee and the other car bots)
