Why would you make a topic like this without even at least putting a question mark? Or better yet, just ask "Is there a Masterpiece Goldbug?" in the title. Come on, man. Btw the answer is no.
Not that I know of. And as you can see by the above comment, you're not the only one who would like it if there was
All 6 of the throttlebots will come eventually no doubt especially as they all share the same basic design. I predict many an argument to ensue about their solid colours needing to be "broken up" and that they look too bland etc
There was this, not exactly Goldbug, but probably the next closest we currently have, could have sworn Takara released a version of this too. https://tfsource.com/toyworld/TW03B/
Goldbug and the Throttlebots have a certain body shape: double set of wheels on the feet, feet formed from the hood, chest from the roof with the windows and the rear of the car raised behind the head (except early Marvel where Goldbug was Bumblebee in gold with blue limbs and a Goldbug head). And of course, colours: all Gold save the head. This has never been recreated. But there are possibilities if you're willing to squint and make concessions. Art Feather is probably the best. It's a KO of the old classics Bumblebee with an actual VW Beetle shell. The Goldbug version has a Goldbug head, is released in gold with blue (Marvel), and has the backpack somewhat. But he also has the doors attached to his arms. Quality apparantly wasn't great. Toyworld has two options of these Bii is probably the best, especially the G2 release in gold. You can mimick the general body shape by a slight mistransformation of the rear of the car, but the head is still wrong and the limbs are black. Their other release was an actual Goldbug, Shinebug, but outside of the head and colour there's nothing Goldbug about him. (there's also an OS KO) Takara: - MP-21G: a G2 version of Bumblebee in metallic gold. Again, the body shape isn't exact, but can be approached by mistransformation. The head is still wrong and the limbs are black. - Alternity Goldbug: about carbot sized, a Bumblebee repaint actually intended to be Goldbug. He has the proper head, the limbs have been made blue in referance to the Marvel Comics, but it's not MP.
I think the only company that can surprise with this is X-Transbots.... they have released the Omnibots and lots of versions of characters in the Cliffjumper mold.
None based on the animation model, I assume, is what one would want if they wanted one done properly. Have always assumed its the sort of design that would demand some fake foot wheels and a mold of its own since it doesn't follow the same proportions as Bee. Ironically he'd probably be a lot easier to engineer especially due to the bigger backpack.
I use the generations takara bumblebee with a third party head (I forget the company). It sizes about right for MP
