Stop making me regret going all-in on Mechanical Team!

 

To be completely honest dude, I could take or leave most of the devil saviour figures as individuals, but this one, this one was worth the wait! I'd recommend him to anyone who likes the character regardless of whether or not you get the others in the set. Actually, I recommend waiting for a red repaint and getting that.

 

When you reach the end of a Bayverse trilogy movie:

this is the only member of devil savior that doesn't look terrible so if they did a red one I'd get it as a standalone on the mp shelf, he looks so good

To me the bayverse designs get away with it much better cause the body parts flow into each other with the more cybertronian designs, so it's more abstract in both modes. This is boxes becoming different shaped boxes, which to me doesn't feel alien or interesting and is therefore harder to justify. Even if the eventual Fallen figure has the exact same transformation as this figure, it'll be way more visually appealing to me.

 

At least Megatron had wings/a tank cannon and treads. That's more than this thing has.

 

I think I as well am going to get a few more SS figures to add to my new collection. I’ve collected basically everything but the SS line I always come back to because of the beautiful alt modes and the detailed robot modes. I’m gonna start with 2007 characters since that’s what hooked me all those years ago. So far I have 2007 Bonecrusher, 2007 Megatron, ROTF Jolt, ROTF Grindor, BBM Blitzwing, BBM Thrust, BBM Shatter, and BBM Dropkick secured.

Jetfire? I heard him and 07 Prime may get new figures in the premium finish line so I may hold out and grab them once they come out!

 

SS-49/74 (the concept Camaro Bumblebees) are excellent, I prefer them to the 76 Bee mold. I do still like 76 Bee though, if you do decide to go for it make sure to get SS-28 or the Buzzworthy version of SS-15, those versions have the pinned roof assembly that makes the figure much better. If you get the Buzzworthy 2-pack you can get 2 birds with one stone, it includes clunker Bee and 07 Barricade.

Still though, SS-49/74 is a the best deluxe of the line IMO. Haven’t posted pics in a while, so here’s my Clunker Bee and SS-74.

 

Hasbro really needs to stop having box Soundwave turn into an aircraft it just doesn't work.
