I think the Rancor is neat, but I was never really in the market for it. Too damn big. That being said, I suspect a lot more people would be interested at a $100 discount.

Dang, it's still losing backers - down to 4,757 now.
For $250, it would be more tempting, but there are a lot of factors that are keeping me from backing:
    1. Space is at a premium, and I still have no idea where I'm putting the last SW HasLab.
    2. Rubberised parts not maintaining in years to come. That sticky-rubber-plastic syndrome is nasty. Already lost my 2012/13 Jabba to it. $250/350 is a lot to spend on something that might degrade in just a few years.
    3. I'm not sold on the final presentation. It's like the Sarah Jessica Parker of 6" scale big-figs. Sometimes it looks good, and sometimes it looks really fugly.

This is coming from someone who really likes the Rancor and has releases from the Micro Machines version on up through the last 3 3/4" scale release from ~2008/9.

I don't want to buy one, but I would hate to see it go.

I would say drop price, get rid of stretch goals because they are all terrible, and leave the minimum at 9k.

Maybe their factory needs 9k to make this so sure whatever thats fine. With Haslab’s failure of everything else , yeah i agree drop the price, drop the lame card packaging, and just include everything theyve shown for the 9k backers.
They could sweeten the deal with Malakili

i know it wont happen but they screwed up hard

…confirm there’s rubber parts?! Wow! I’m passing it up then! Rubber parts deteriorate quite fast in my part of the world!

Thanks for the heads-up by the way!

The Rancor was a bad idea for BS, it is a piece with limited display options. A BS AT-ST would of sold 30k+ units easy, larger figure selection, some will want more then one. The Rancor would of been great for a TVC Haslabs of a Jabba's Palace, which could of been sold at $550+, with many tiers.

Was thinking about the next wave of Black Series. Which figures will be shelfwarmers?

No doubt Yavin Leia, Was also thinking about Walrus Man and DR. Evaza because of the recent Pulsecon exclusive. But would Boba fett still be hard to get without his mask?

Anyone have a black series Bad Batch Rex they’d be willing to trade? Have extra artillery troopers, shock troops, remnant and probably plenty others.

You can still pre order sexy Rexy from Dorkside. Dunno when he will really come in stock.

free shipping on orders $39.99 and up so you can basically toss in anything to reach it.

Out of curiosity, when's the last time there was a retail Black Series R unit? Last I remember was R5-P8 from the Galaxy's Edge/Target exclusive. Was it Dr Aphra's droid?

R5-P8 was the most recent IIRC, before that I think it was Dagobah R2-D2 released for ESB’s 40th. Granted, I never actually saw it at retail, but I do think it was a general retail release.
