There are multiple versions out there and it all depends on what you would like.

MS has two versions but both will be hard to get. They had a all in one figure years ago. You could possibly find one on eBay resale. MS V2 is two separate purchases. A white Optimus Prime from years ago and a Trailer set that can be found now. I hear mixed results from it. It’s a good looking figure but it’s a parts formy mess.

NA has their White Prime and Armor set that just came out. I have it it’s fun but has some visual flaws that some hate like the white prime arms chilling out on the top.

MFT is another all in one no White Prime figure. It’s similar to MS V1 and is the biggest option of the three.

    This Review should help

Also, don't forget that MS has their 2.0 Optimus coming out soon (i think?) so there may be another white Prime/armor combo coming too.

I don’t expect it any time soon. V2 Magnus Armor just got released this year. V2 Optimus looks in compatible. MS will be better to wait and make a V3 Magnus in a year or two with a heavily retooled White Optimus figure based on their V2 prime mold and package it with the armor / trailer. Either way it might piss off MS fans that they can’t have a definitive Magnus for more than a year and a half.

Yeah count me among those waiting for a definitive Magnus. I've never been in to the whole White Prime thing anyway, so what I really want is a 2.0 Transporter. Crossing my fingers they can pull off a legends-scale Commander Stack.

Iron Factory has one, too. He's a bit of a bruiser.

MS put out a self contained Magnus a few years ago, and when I tried tracking him down this year...It happened...

The Newage/Magic Square Ultra Magnus Wars™®.

I was like you, on the fence about which one to get.

After a few months of questioning which is the best one, I decided on the New Age Magnus.

NA Cons: Some would say the double windshield/chest, the way the matrix chamber operates, and the visible forearms in 'Ultra' mode. Small car carrier.
Pros: You get everything in one box. Scales well with either MS or NA. You get a white prime (if that's your kind of thing).

I'd say the mess of parts that is the MS Magnus 2.0, plus the fact that you've got to track down an increasingly HTF figure in addition to the armor/car carrier set would be Severe Cons. But that's just my :2c: .

Hey thanks so much for the replies, everyone! I did check a few reviews including the one I was suggested and I'm honestly leaning towards the Newage, Magic Square does seem nicer aesthetically imo but I really don't feel like hunting down two separate things.

    I have the three Magnus.

MFT is great all in one. Perfect scale with MST in bot form, but the vehicle form is ridiculous small. Can't carry other vehicles.

MST v2.0. White Prime and Armor Set. It's a completely mess. White Prime chipped arms after putting the armor plates. Lots of falling pieces over and over. Lots of leftover pieces in a drawer. Very good bot form, but short arms and small elbows that can't hold the HUGE absurd gun. Vehicle form can barely carry some little vehicles like MST Bee / Cliff but not bigger ones like Trailblazer, Hoist, Silverstreak... Etc... The inner surface isn't flat, neither the top surface of the trailer. Vehicle form scales perfect with MST vehicles but the bumper is silver instead of red.

NA Magnus... Ok, being honest is in delivery process, I'll give you my thoughts very soon. :lol

I am still pretty content with the MFT one.

Despite not liking the NA version when we first saw it (hello shoulder arms and double chest), it has grown on me since - that insufferable New Age charm always gets me in the end! At least the double chest problem is a nonissue because I'd likely keep him in full armor mode anyway; and there seem to be some aftermarket solutions for the shoulder arms (although so far, none look "great" and I still hate that it's necessary).

I look forward to your thoughts Manel, maybe you will tip me into picking this up after all.

I've never been all that interested in legends scale figures but since I'm possibly returning to the office on occasion next year I want some desk bots that won't take up too much space but I'm not familiar with which brands/figures have a good reputation. Can anyone recommend any legends scale versions of Galvatron, Sixshot, Thrust, Thundercracker, Wheeljack, Perceptor, Blurr, and/or Springer?

Well, there's only one of some of those anyway:

    New Age Galvatron
    Toyworld Wheeljack
Magic Square Perceptor (being OSKOd by MFT right now)
    DX9 Blurr
    IF Sixshot (plus MFT OSKO)

There are two Springers from MFT (an old one and a new one that was released in the past month or so).

There are now three Thrusts and three Thundercrackers - DX9 (KOd by Pocket Toys, plus MFT OSKO), New Age, and Magic Square. You most likely won't be able to buy any of them as individuals, but rather sets of three Seekers.

Some of these (anything by DX9 and IF) will be very hard to come by.

I highly recommend the Magic Square Perceptor (Deadly). They nailed the sculpt IMO, and the figure just feels overall solidly built.

IF Wheeljack is my favorite legends Wheeljack. NewAge and Magic Square might be releasing one next year; a lot of next year's lineup should be revealed at the Shanghai convention in December.

NewAge and Iron Factory for Galvatron (both great, depending on what you’re looking for).
IF and (OS KO) MFT for Sixshot.
Magic Square/NA/IF each have all seekers and are good quality.
    IF and Toyworld for Wheeljack.
MS for Perceptor, though there is an undersized and impossible to find IF version.
MFT for 2 different versions of Springer. They’ve got Blurr in the pipeline and no one else does.

I don’t own any NA figures, but they have a good reputation. I have both IF and MS and the quality of both is very good, especially (in my opinion) for IF.

    Thanks for the suggestions y'all!

I'm curious, how big is the OSKO MFT Sixshot? Is he still reasonably sized for Legends scale?

he is a great size for a legend collection. the original was a little on the small side and from a time when IF hadn't credit a real scale yet.

the MFT bots are great with the rest of the decepticon heavy hitters.

Wow, those DJD cons look great! Wish they weren't so pricey for being so small.

About 138mm to the top of the head. Add another 30 or 40 mm for the shoulders and wings. He towers over stuff from MST and NA, which is why I chose the MFT version (apart from the original not being available...). My IF collection represents the 2005 IDW comics stuff, where Sixshot was a Phase Sixer, and so big and nasty. This toy (along with the MFT OSKOs of Black Shadow and Overlord) gives me just what I want for the character.

That picture above is pretty good for giving an idea of how the toys will look together - IF Megs is a bit smaller than MST's Megatron and Prime.

Looking forward to seeing the individual bots, but so far I am thrilled at the possibility of a legends size ABI combiner like this.
