I'd actually like a line/series, probably not a overly G1 based one, that uses this scale

The bulk of the Decepticon forces are towering, arrogant giants that the smaller Autobots have to outwit.

A few of the Cons could defect and become the Aerialbots.

That's kind of always been the dynamic, I know, but I'd just like it more emphasized.

XTB's photoshop job with the Stunticons was really stupid.

This is literally just one figure standing in front of a 2nd figure where we know the height of the 2nd figure. I don't see how anyone could see this as trying to hide the height of Jocund.

Dropping the angle of the shot just makes it look a bit cooler than a simple straight on shot.

I dunno about egregious... once you add Blades in there I think Groove will just look like a plucky short guy who holds his own amongst his more bulky comrades. If Blades is the same height as First Aid, you'll have two tall guys and two shorter guys; if Blades is Streetwise's height then you'll have one tall guy who is the odd one out. If he's in between, you'll have a cool Russian Doll situation.
I've already decided to go with MMC for bot mode, so I don't have a dog in this fight. I understand if the scale difference bugs people so much, particularly when Jocund was shown to be the same height/slightly taller than Fuzz. I'd be pretty upset at my purchase not being what was advertised - again. Seems to be XTB's MO these days. But, I also don't have an issue with individual limb members being different heights (as @Little Dutch pointed out, MMC's Combaticons do this and it works), especially if they are just as likely to stay in combined mode.

That and in the cartoon it is very hard to determine if there is a height difference. If you look at this particular scene it appears that both Streetwise and Groove are indeed smaller.
    Screenshot_20211123-141749~2.png

It could also be a case of perspective as the shot is from top down and Blades is in front of them... Sadly this the best group shot of the Protectobots that I know of, and it is without First Aid as this is from the famous episode with a one-armed Defensor. :D

Either way, this is a discussion without end and everybody should just buy whichever version (XTB or MMC) they feel works best.

Edit: I mean, it kinda works with Groove and Streetwise as the smaller ones of the team.

Na I really don't care either. Legs are roughly the same size and the arms will probably be the same size. Sounds good to me

It should have been obvious since in that group shot Gravestone doesn't cast a shadow and the others do since he is photoshopped in.

Obvious that he’s photoshopped in, yes. But the expected reason for using this method to show things together is to show a scale comparison. Adding at the wrong scale makes no sense, unless the person doing it didn’t realise the scale was incorrect, or was intentionally misleading the audience.

There are more pics of Jocund and Fuzz and you can't appreciate the real height of the figure in none of them, they just avoided front pics and never told about the size. It also was advertised in every store as 17cm/6,7inch, same as Fuzz, and people paid for it without knowing it would be shorter (if you count the windshield in bot mode it might be 17cm, but still).

I would just be happy if they would stop with the stupid "hip-thrust" poses in their promo pics.

Appearantly that's a Chinese thing, I saw a Gundam figure posing manual referred to the thrust as 'heroic' and 'dynamic'.

What you're talking about happens in most all promor pics for most all figures across most companies. If it bothers folks that much they should wait for reviews where most reviewers do comparisons with other bots.

Low horizon perspective - cool, good marketing

Photoshoped to look better - bad taste in mouth, false advertising.
