    Late to the party.

Has it been mentioned anywhere that the white Optimus is part of Ultra Magnus in bot mode?

While we haven't had an official mention, it looks in all ways to be an all-in-one Magnus with no white Prime at its center.

Because, considering what that would be "repainted" into, that would make a massive selling point if it were true.

I really like what XTB has done but I still think the lower legs are unnecessarily large and blocky. If the outer portions of the leg could lose about 2/3 of the thickness it would make him look more toon or just more in proportion to what they've done to the rest of him. It would also make the trailer look better in alt mode since it still has that super wide rear like MP-22. All of the legends versions of UM have done this and they all look very nice. I erased some of material to get an idea of what it would look like and went further than 2/3 but I think it looks good. If I could photoshop I would take material out between the white panels and the outer edge slimming it quite a bit then moving it over to join the leg, ya know like how the legends figures look.

The legs are fine. You make them any skinnier, and he'll look top-heavy because the arms are also bulkier than in the animation.

Transformers toys are frequently bulkier than their animated counterparts, because stuff has to go somewhere.

I know the toys typically are bulkier but lately a lot of bots are getting designed closer to toon than ever. I do think he looks great but I believe he'd look better with slimmer legs. Its obvious that most of XTB's version is borrowed from MP-22 and redesigned from there. From the knee down it's like they left him as blocky as he was while making over the rest so it doesn't seem like the absolute best match in my opinion. As in the toon pics I posted and any legends figure the legs are slim and it fits. There is simply hollow wasted space in those side portions of the legs and honestly even in the pics where I erased too much making them thinner than I'd like, he doesn't look top heavy at all and looks a lot closer to the toon pics. Look at how wide and bulky MP-10s legs are in relation to MP-44 or TE-01 so I was hoping for the same type of change when someone would finally give us a new Magnus.

His legs would benefit from being slimmer, but you went too far in your edit. The sides of his legs shouldn't be completely flat like that.

Yeah I mentioned that and I think there should be the side of the leg as it originally looks but only an eighth of an inch thick instead of what it is.

We've seen pictures of Stack and MP-44 together in 'bot mode, but has anything been shown yet of the alt. modes side by side?

I think this look good, and is a definite upgrade from MP UM, but I'm on the fence, as if his alt. mode is completely out of scale, that'll be a deal breaker for me.

Alt mode length has been given as 38.5 cm and that's almost exactly the same as MP UM. I feel pretty certain they have scaled alt mode to match and gone to great pains to achieve that smaller more slender bot. Bot mode is still a little too big, so seems they were still constrained by alt mode. Nothing confirmed yet though. Which is weird. But i feel confident.

Im fairly sure the top of his torso is the back of the cab, so an indication could be obtained by scaling one of the pics including MP-44 and measuring cab width from that, but quite prone to error.

Could easily just be the original UM prototype... we've seen a few prototypes where the plastic is in a rainbow of colours 'just because', and others where the colours represent the final product plastic composition
