Not too torn up about the backdrops since I never used them, but I will echo the fuck open packaging sentiment

 

There looks to be 2 inserts, I don’t think backdrops are going anywhere

 

Luckily, it looks like it still has a plastic window. It looks like it’s reflecting some light and I believe the recycling symbol is visible on the upper right.

As an avid studio series in box collector I’m utterly torn with this new revelation, it was inevitable but it hurts seeing this be true after literally 3 years of the line being unchanged, considering Hasbro’s blatant hypocrisy with the use of plastics for other line packaging’s why this one of them all? Really hoping it still has a plastic window at the lease to avoid figure damage or scuff in stores, I wouldn’t mind the figure just flopping around in the box after opening it, what bothers me is without the plastic shell protecting it, what’ll happen when I move out and have to take all these with me. Not sure why I’m so adamant of a box, guess it’s just the feeling that they won’t hold up the same? Nonetheless I still greatly look forward to these releases

 

Looking good so far! Nice to see it doesn’t have any blatantly hollow parts anywhere; looks like a solid and chunky voyager.

 

Unfortunately when moving figures we’ll now have to deal with them flailing around in their boxes.

 

I see hasbros finally adopting the power of the dark arts for these, so clean

 

I usually don't buy two figures but I might have to make an exception for this thing

 

Sadly something we’ll have to accept, not the end of the world but I still hope we can zip tie them back into the cardboard inserts at least

Yep. Makes it harder on reselling to. Need to either wrap the entire figure in 20 layers of bubble wrap or add zip ties to the list of packaging materials laying around the house.
