For what I understand, it is available yesterday and TDW posts the painted product one day prior to release, so this is strange to me as well.

I believe it's exactly what they promoted, those small parts were for elbow lock which is a U shape piece that jams on to the new elbow(big black pieces with new crotch pegs for the limb bots.)

Thanks for your feedback on this! Not surprised as all their kits have issues similiar like what you have described. But still getting this anyways as it's still the best looking King Poseidon I've ever seen and will look grand on my shelf

I moved away from this scale a long time ago. I had the defensor set and he was a wobbly mess. I can only imagine how down hill this company has rolled after reading through these posts

The sword is not shown you need to move the thumb to the bottom part of the hand and then put the sword tab in where the thumb use to be, to helps but some 5mm pegs with 5mm holes could be used in the hands to make a far more stable sword holder.

Yikes, this ended up pretty bad.

The stock hands couldn't handle accessories. The TDW 'solution' ends up making the hands look worse with the thumbs on the bottom.

Right angle adapters are able to stabilize the hands and prevent the thumbs from flopping. I would suggest using Nonnef right angle adapters if it wasn't for the fact they don't work out the box due to slightly offset molding errors (need a file to fix the oversized pegs and a 5mm drill bit to fix the undersized ports).

Examples using modified Nonnef adapters. 2 are needed per hand.

That looks like a standard POTP hand. Maybe the Takara hands aren't double-thumbed?

That is the POTP hand with two thumbs.

The new GS hands have one thumb on a hinge system that allows it to switch sides (in addition to each finger having independent articulation). The problem is the hinge has one small tab to plug into on either side of the hand, which isn't strong enough to hold combiner size accessories and even regular ones too.

If you look in the pic I posted above of the GS hands, you can see a very small rectangular tab just below the base of the rotating connecting peg. That single tiny tab cannot handle weight loads. The crappy thumb design allows weapons to flop in both directions amazingly enough.

The hand itself has 2 5mm ports on the inside, so an adapter that locks the weapon handle into the hand ports will stabilize it.

Ya I asked a seller of 3d printed parts if he would work on something and to be honest, should not take long It will be semi sorta like what you have done thou honestly i would have just slotted those into the 2 5mm ports on the hands and ignore the thumbs all together.

Not everyone has the POTP hands and it works because there are 2 thumbs to help hold the sword stable the original hands the thumb alone is not very stable and those sword tabs are there for a reason thou it's not perfect but it helps.

Yup I was thinking of not using 2 per but just one, ya it will shift the sword a bit forward in the hand but it will be very stable as long as the 5mm adapters are snug. Also with 2 lined up there is no shifting of the sword and you can rotate the hand around.

It's actually a good set for the price perfect effect nearly charges double for what you get, and the company is improving on it's older designs.

I'm surprised we haven't had a video (or even written) review of this yet. Guess a lot of people really aren't into it.

I’ll take the slight visual improvement over nothing at all, even if it means no fiddling around with the combined mode afterward.
