That's what I do. It just looks like a weird, ornate knob on the back of a microscope from some angles, so not really out of place. What I wouldn't mind seeing is a 3rd party (or even 3d printers) make an arm that's meant to stay attached "permanently" that would plug into that 5mm port on one end, and a connection point somewhere on the other end so the Titan Master could stay in head mode also "permanently" and it would just swing out of the way and down on his back making him more or less seamless. If I had a 3d printer, I'd get right on it. Perhaps @Robots78 and @wheeljackfan16 could take a look into such a thing. (I know I'd buy it in a heartbeat.)

 

I don't own a Perceptor so this will do nicely and will look good next to my Chromedome, Highbrow, Brainstorm.

Maybe two buys so I can make Magnificus.

 

I imagine that he gets released as a Selects toy or an exclusive. I can't think of anyone else to repaint Perceptor into, and Hasbro seems to be all-in on getting at least one repaint out of each mold.

Yeah, that white paint sucks, but as you said, it's easily paintable. And the tank mode is lame.

In all fairness, that figure came out during a time of cost-cutting we were used to. He was one of the more solid figures that didn't bother us. Since Siege, part of the sales pitch was that it would appease Hasbro, Takara-Tomy, and the fans. They upped the paint apps, they upped the parts count, we saw 2-part molds again. With that, the price went up to match and it was okay. Now, the prices are climbing even higher and the parts count is going back down and we're getting less for our money in some aspects and more in others.

Give people time to come to terms with it. Once they have it in hand, the complaints will go down to a dull roar. No patience in this fandom, anymore.

 

IMHO TR was during a bounce back to quality period. Those figures were sooo much better than what had come before. FoC was the worst but lines got progressively better from there out and TR was 3 lines post that debacle.

edit: and that’s with the fact that that line used a lot of ball jointed shoulders on deluxes.

I love my E-Hobby figure, a personal favourite
but I wouldn't owning a version who turned into
