Yep, those were the biggest flaws with the first run. I got a replacement arm for mine from Baba, and a nice Forumer gave me his replacement face from his Stunticon. All the reissues have those both fixed from what I read in this thread.

I wonder if I still have the gif I made to send to Baba showing the limp arm.

Aside from the weird face, and maybe some soft-ish joints, first release Savant is pretty good for what he is. If you can find a replacement face, that helps. Some people tried some "face lift" and "sculpting" tricks that helped with the face, but I think the issue was that the paint application wiped out the detail leaving his expression a bit... blank.

He's pretty cool.

 

after looking at how small & CHUG-styled the official MP Honda City mold is at PrimevsPrime.., I decided to get Savant instead. Dont know what TT was thinking when they're designing it. The official MP mold looked like it is a 1.0 version (thats why they showed the old MP Streak & tracks together with skids), and Savant is the renewal version (will go nicely with Sunstreaker, Hound and other toon styled carbots).

 

I imagine the size is dictated by wanting to reflect the actual size of the car (which is likely given Honda's involvement). I have Herald (XTB Crosscut) and love him, but I'll admit that he seems a little oversized as a car when put with other MP cars (I haven't broke out the actual IRL car blueprints to see exactly how out of scale he is though)

He is good over all but I have the mark 1 with the funny face so it kind of puts me off him a bit.

At least, this MP seems to have a very affordable price  

 

I'm gonna keep this one and pass of the MP, I love it with reprolabels and silver face. The MP is very toycentric, which I like, but somehow I feel Savant fits better my other carbots. I prefer it bulkier too, though being thinner allows the MP turn into a smaller alt mode and be better scaled, I'll live with that.

I still think they need to add a little something more to the repaints besides the paint and decals. They really need to give them the weapons they had for the toys.

It would be awesome to see them make the forearm guns and the shoulder launchers, but I'm sure that's probably a bit too much to ask for...

That face is awful. Otherwise it might be the better version. But I just couldn't get him at all with that face. I did get their Crosscut. I'm getting the MP of Skids.
