That looks surprisingly good. I say surprisingly because I thought the feet would look awful like the do on Bumblebee yet somehow on Cliff they actually look don't look as bad. I'll possibly snag him. Hopefully he comes with some nice weaponry.

Agreed. This is what I kinda latched onto as of late. Especially cause the turn of the 80s just also happened to be the time when the 924 was out for a couple years, but then was coming the 944 in '82, same year Micro Change was coming out, to which I believe the 944 could have influenced original production since i'd imagine it had to have been revealed at some auto show in '80 or '81 prior to it's production and release.

Either way Cliff is looking fantastic and we have Porsche to thank for it in many a way, hahahaha.

Or that the Cliffjumper we see here isn't completely Choro-Q but the cartoon with a nod here and there to the original MicroChange.

100% agree. Absolutely never expected him to be before any of the reveals we've gotten so far. And IIRC Takara dies down during the beginning of the new fiscal year, so any chance he would've had to slimly squeeze in alongside Crosscut and Nightbird are moot. Definitely coming after Shouki, personally expecting between Q3 2022 and Q1 2024. Though thanks to this recent review dump, i'm expecting the earlier than the later.

Yeah I wish it was but it certainly won't. I fully expect somewhere in between $120-130 ($120 being Bee's original price), depending on the accessories since Cliff will certainly have his own fair share of unique ones. Unfortunately the days of a cheap MP seem to be behind us.

As a refresher if you are not aware... the altmode is obviously based on the cartoon, which itself was based off the MicroChange toy, which itself was based on the ChoroQ toys, which were chibified penny racers from the beginning.

I’ve been screaming for Masterpiece Galvatron LONG before that, since at least MP-25. We’re WAY PAST overdue for him, instead getting worthless one-shot Autobots & unnecessary repaints

 

So far, I think Takara did a better job here with Cliffjumper than they did on MP-45 Bumblebee. Love the different tones of grey with the red.

This was probably my most intense GIF yet. I wish I went back and got a finished timeline shot, but this was it in progress. Mostly masking shots to have Jazz's head obscured behind arms and shit, the rest were his heads animated frame by frame.



It was a hellish workload, but it seems the payoff was well worth it.

 

This is actually a really amazing reengineering of Bee IMHO. I particularly love the arms being tucked fully under the roof now and the new back transformation. Speaking of which, gotta love that moment when someone is "reviewing" a non-final product without instructions or packaging and critiquing their backpack only to then go, "Ohhh!" out loud when they realize they simply had the back mistransformed.  

 

Don't disrespect Cliffjumper again, he was in multiple episodes and was in the movie AND SURVIVED! Cliffjumper deserves respect
